  • A lot of creative ideas but they all need work. As long as the creativity is there, the technical side of things will come.

  • good job man!

  • hey man, what amp are you going through?/what settings is your tubescreamer at? your tube-sounding tone is really tight man

  • Dude you play some awsome guitar. NNNICE job.

  • Great tone man! but are you using the fender blues junior tolex version or the tweed NOS edition?

  • thanks a lot

very helpfull for somebody who is learning the song

  • versione originale.cmq bravo.good.

  • Bravo man, Nice Job!!

  • nice !

  • fine playing without any touch of an own style of yours but in fact a quite good imitation of stevie.

  • GreaT job man, exlectant playing

  • hi nice playing there, if you make another vid for us please keep the metronome more quiet if possible. also i didnt hear a vibrato in few same licks not big deal but if u can do it there that'l be a huge difference to the feeling. 4 stars.

  • knock it off with the drum sticks.AKA metronome.

    annoying after 2-3 chords

  • impressive, really bro...Especially impressive that you're playing in time, and playing with a metronome...

Smart player, right there....I give you a "4" only because i think 5 is unattainable

  • I like ur version bro, good shit

  • Pretty Good.

  • Hey man, you're really good.. Great strat too ;)..

  • cool hendrix t-shirt and great cover

  • You should use the second pickup selection. The one that comes after the rythm selection.

  • Good Stuff!! Really nice keep it up!

  • all i can say is get a left handed body and a right handed neck and play your ass off dam good work chap i will see if my sister can get to see you play sometime she lives in the UK peace man

  • Good cover but you should work on that signature SRV raking, and the vibrato on the 7h-9 on the B string in the main hook.

  • Dude, you should definitely pat yourself on the back for that performance

  • would skinny strings do anything? or you know smaller strings the ones that are less thick i cant think of the word, can i make them sound the sound like this

  • one of only a few coverversions of lenny with a touch of soul - well, no very well done!!

  • Nice playing, love that tune.

  • Is that guitar made in America or Mexico? Trying to decide on this in 3 Tone Sunburst or the American Standard.

  • Mexican player strat.

  • thats the same thing my uncle uses he says he likes it a lot better than a regular strat.

  • @JuicyOverdrive

Maybe you should check out the new Fender American specials ;)

USA made, Texas special pickups in them, and there's a 2 tone sunburst version ;)

Go check it out! Peace to you

  • Nice attempt!Sounds very good!you have a good technic!I want this Guitar :D

  • when does music become art? "lenny"

  • i have these pickups in my strat now, wish i had a 808 though. Makes em sing. I should probably get heavier strings too lol

  • Man I love your playing. I don't give a fuck which pick up you use, it's great.(stevie wouldn't give a shit either). 5*****

  • Thanks man, I really appreciate it.

  • you don't need the ts808 for this song except for the part when it switches to bridge pup. did you use throuighout the whole song. and its a bit on the thin side did you have on anything other than the neck or mid neck?

  • In which year is this strat made? nice tone.. :)

  • nice tone dude, keep it up :)

  • Awesome job. U did the song justice. If only Stevie was alive today. Keep up the good work!!

By the way i have the same guitar, and it rocks!

  • Hello, congratulation! im a brazilian guitarrist... you made a nice job in lenny song! Are you using a original ts808 or a new ts808 reissue?

  • many thanks, It is a reissue, so not quite right but close.

  • Damn nice !!!!

  • awesome.

  • excellent

  • SRV had respect for the note. Think about it. He never played a note he didn't mean to - and he gave it total respect. Good job. I like your vids!

  • This is pretty awesome.

  • sweet....kepp it up

  • Very beautiful and inspired version!

    Stevie would surely dig it!

  • thank you.

  • excellent. you've got the feel...

    SRV forever!

  • wow...awesome work. You're hendrix videosare great too.I was wondering about the Roger Mayer vodoovibe. How does it sound tone wise? does it color the tone any?do you lose sustain if it's linked with a fuzz or something?

  • voodoo vibe is great, jimi used rogers modded

univox which is basically the same as the voodoo vibe on machine gun.

  • I have a blues junior and ts808. Is there anyway I could get the settings for both please. Awesome playing by the way. I thought it sounded great.

    Casey

  • tube screamer settings. overdrive = full tone = 2 O'clock level 9 O'clock amp (blues jnr) reverb = 4 master = 2.1 middle =2.1 bass = 10.5 trebel = 12 volume = 4
  • oh and you need to roll the guitar volume off a little, or reduce the overdrive on the ts-808

  • colour?

  • try the 4th pickup position it will sound more like vaughan but overall goodjob

  • One of my favorite songs played well! 5\5 stars. I love you backing track. Good job.

  • How did you get the backing track?

  • I recorded it myself with a drum machine & played the bass myself(badly) :-)

  • o yeah string gauge?

  • 0.11's

  • Keep it up man.

  • thanks

  • What are the settings on your blues junior and TS808?? I have both and would love to be able to dial in that sound. Thanks man and nice job playing. It put a smile on my face.

  • You're doing an awful lot of things right man.... no need to apologize! I've got a couple of lessons on how to play Lenny if you're looking for any help, but you're well on your way.

  • Thanks man i'll check em out.

  • Great playing. nice to hear an SRV song coming from you.

  • i don't know the origial song. i just found out about Stevie Ray last year through a collegue of mine. But i just like what u r doing.

  • excellent playing Sir !!!! *****

  • #2. lovely, magical !

  • be nice if you could tell me that one chord. Right at 36 seconds.

  • Great personal take on a SRV classic...my, my, just how sweet and versatile the Junior is, too...

  • Thanks ed. I am currently in the middle of a love affair with the 'junior' I think I prefer it to the twin i owned a while back.

I've yet to gig with it but i'm gonna take to some jams pretty soon.. cant wait

  • Another job well done. I haven't heard that much SRV stuff, I'll have to check him out.

  • yeah, i only discovered him a few years ago,

and only recently started learning any of his stuff. Theres nothing i can say about the guy that has not already been said. personally I would put him up there with jimi. others may disagree but hey...

  • Really! I know what a huge Jimi fan you are. That's saying something. Do you have an album of his that'd you'd recommend?

  • sure, the 'Texas flood' & 'Couldn't stand the weather' also I like the live stuff at carnegie hall, and the live at the El Mocambo dvd is simply amazing.

  • You probably have better talent than me, I love the way you improvised. The only thing I can say, is that it sounded like you had some distortion/gain coming through that blues junior. I may be wrong but it sounded alot like it.

  • thanks man,

And yes youre right there is some gain added by an ibanez TS-808 tube screamer to add a little bite. peace jry

  • Ahhh, the ibanez tube screamer huh?? haha yeah, now I see. Well, it's the only thing I can find that sorta bugs me here, you played great, keep it up!!

  • Great! Not a dumb note for note cover. Very great job here, with your personnal touch.

    Keep on playin'

  • Hey that's a really great sound! Nice Post!

  • it's a very brilliant tone for a rosewood neck...great video!

  • how much money did you strat cost? i love it.

  • I think it was about £450.00

  • Very good! =] and is the 60s Player Strat any good? It's just I'm thinking about getting one in the near future. Thanks,

    Colin

  • yeah i love the 60's player, it is better than some strats I have of twice the price.

  • Yeah I have read good things about it! Thanks for the advice, and nice playing as always!

    Colin

  • A guy with your talent has to have some original pieces. Are you going to post any of those?

  • Many thanks,

check my channel the myspace addess has my original stuff.

  • nice. could you watch my vid of the intro?

    watch?v=E6h_E4V7XQw
