I've always wondered, what software do you use to create things like this? As I'm in game development, I'm familiar with Maya and also know that something like this can be done in Flash, however, does dedicated software exist for vector based type animation?

Adobe After effects and photoshop. As you can see, the inkdrops are static.

Its a combination with live footage plus after effects. & the ink drops are not static.

for vector based animation you can use anime studio(it was called moho before) . it has a similar rig sistem like 3d software , but much easier

I know this is late but anything can just download a youtube movie, rip the audio off of it, and then they have the BG. You might want to consider vimeo.

Hi mate. This is a graphic/tyographic trailer for a non-existing film based on Mahatma Gandhi's principals. "You must be the change you.....", is a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi. Here is a brief explanation of all the elements used:

Map of India - the first image of map used if where Gandhiji was born, the second image focuses on Delhi, capital of India where most of the negotiation during the freedom struggle took place, and so the map takes you on a sort of journey ending on Jammu & Kashmir which unfortunately is still an issue creating a rift between India and Pakistan.

The Black Ink-drops: Symbolize dark blood, after a person dies (linking to Gandhiji's assassination). But here the ink drops reveal his quote which symbolizes the rebirth of an idea but in a different society with a different approach.

Deep - I like deepness. Lawlz at the guy who wants to "use" the video in his commercial! OMG. You must either hire a graphic designer, or design one yourself. Nothing for free, we have to eat too. Plus, this has a specific message - how could it fit your project unless you are promoting the same message as this artist?? IDGI.

What I mean is that no one would offer their other cheek after being slapped on one (like Gandhi did as he believed in non-violence). And that people need to change to be the change.
