vert is based off air tricks like grabbing, not like flips.

not to mention vert is much more dangerous.

a vert trick is stuff like going up a halfpipe (ramp) and doing grab tricks or full body spins.

vert is used commonly in competitions at a skate park.

the actual "vert" is a giant ramp that's linked to another ramp at the bottom, so once you go down one you automatically go up the other one.

When you ollie (jump) off the vert you go up vertically (up high) and come down the ramp.

street skating is much more biased on flip-tricks and grinding. you can do a lot more stuff (and not die!) with it.
