hey read in today that there's an mp or assoc prof that wants to revamp the taxi prices. The government initially left the taxi pricing to the taxi companies themselves to encourage competition to reduce prices and maintain good service however, it turned into a monopoly or duopoly where the bigger taxi companies such as SMRT and Comfordelgro made their prices them roughly the same, increasing prices and reducing prices which was the exact opposite of what the goverment intended.
