The interesting part is that if say the fetus has a male genome XY, but the hormone testosterone fails to start and initiate male development that fetus will develop with female features, hence it won't be male but hermaphrodite.
Could you not just read a developmental biology book? It goes into a little bit more detail than the Quran. The Quran does not give a particularly good analysis of this process.

It is a fact that ossification (i.e. bone formation) is one of the last events that occur during embryonic development. No, the Material can only BUILD more material, the material can NOT "create".
For example, lets say you built a chair and part of it has some metal on it, what you did was take WOOD (which was created) and Metal (which was also created) and put them together in order to have something to sit on, the conclusion, you BUILT the chair, you never "Created" it.
And you don't need to trace back what words mean, but instead, use some logic and reason.
We are BUILDERS, not "Creators".

The description is wrong in so many ways, the ovum is not mentioned, an embryo is never a clot of blood, people thought that the sperm mixed with the woman´s menstrual blood, the clot is not made into bones which are then draped with muscles. Google "galen embryology" and compare with the description in the Quran.

The Quran is not perfect.
It is redundant, a reflection of Christian, Jewish and Pegan tradition.
It is not science - if it were scientific then the Arabs would be the best scientists in the world today
The West gave arabs Refrigerators, TV, I-PODs, Automobiles, Ice Cream, and all the modern conforts they enjoy/
Arab people make no contributions to modern science. They pray all day, talk about religion instead of produce
They are intelligent enough - religion holds them back

I am in the process of writing a book about Islam. I read the Qruan, commentaries, hadiths, sunna and i listen to Islamic lectures regularly.
I feel very sorry for you people that dont know any better. It breaks my heart.

It's funny how I found today a book that explains and translate the Arabic terminology that is used in the modern Medicine "Arabic and Latin anatomical terminology chiefly from the Middle Ages"..
You will find plenty of vocabularies in Medicine that have Arabic roots..
I'm talking about Medicine because it's my field, and I'm sure there is the same thing with other sciences as I read and knew..

I have many books on the things arabs did HUNDREDS of years ago. They translated Greek, Roman, Syrian, Perisan and Pegan works - added their own knowledge and did great things.
After about the year 950 - Arabs became religious instead of scientific. That is why the West has to invent everything for them
We invent all the medicine, chemo therapy, heart transplants, therapies, and neurosceince.
The Islamic world spends Nothing on scientific research. They prefer to sit and pray

In other words, in Islam, being more religious means more development in science, it's a direct correlation..

I am writing a book on this very topic, and that is something Muslims are told to believe. This is for a few reasons.
1. religious leaders and their motives
2. islamic world view which is nostalgic in nature.
Science grows by looking to the future, learning from others and translating books. The Islamic world stopped doing that because they look back in time nostalgically. To progress, they need to spend less time on religion and more time translating science books

I will give you an example. At a recent neuroscience congress I attended in Chicago - would you say that these cutting edge researchers do what with their free time
1. pray
2. research, conduct experiments, analyze data.
Most scientists can not be religious, if they were they would get nothing done

I am not negating that.
In fact, I have been reading about what the Arabs did in astronomy, navigation, mathematics, and medicine 700 years ago. Al Ghazali is a name that stands out.
These things were done - CENTURIES ago. When Islamic scholars decided that education should instead be replaced by sufism and religion.
Today - in modern times - the Islamic world is full of people that do not make any contributions at all to modern science.

Al Ghazali is one of the leaders of Sufism which is a misguided form of worship in the eyes of many Islamic scholars. It basically based on staying 24/7 praying and keeping away from people. However, our prophet was not like this at all. He taught us that Islam is a complete religion which create a productive lifestyle that combines worshiping and good ethics with the daily life..

I am still writing it, which is the reason I have to come to youtube and watch Islamic lectures.
The work will have a lot of citations, not just from Islamic scholars but human development reports. Therefore, I think I will be ready for publication sometime next year if I am lucky

So you think there is absolutely no judgement of our deeds? A person who murders tens of thousands of people will, in the end, not have ANY punishment if he just suicides? And the patient people who believe in Allah by accepting his signs and rewards will not get any reward for their patience?

In the end, you will never reach a REAL answer which you all can agree upon. Just keep walking in circles. And there will be come some EXPLICIT signs in the future which absolutely NO ONE can deny (eg. Sun rising in the west once, wild animals talking, maidservant giving birth to her master, etc). If your generations see that, it will be too late for them to convert then
