A Lotus kick looks a heck of alot like something called a jump spin crescent kick. Just without the prespin. I think i'm gunna practice it. it looks very clean.
@v27rv126mus sorry for the late reply. for that lotus this is what u need to do. first u need to be able to do a outside crescent kick. next lifting ur left knee, hop and outside crescent. then u jump off ur right leg lifting ur left knee and outside cresecent with right leg. then u jump in a clockwise direction (jumping off right leg) whilst lifting the left knee spin it right and kick with ur right leg. then practise, practise and practise. hope this helps
nope, thats defintely more than 180. the degrees is calculated when the left foot leaves the ground, so if it was as you claim only 180 then then I would have my back facing the camera. Although I might be an 'idiot' as you so claim, I'm pretty sure my understanding of basic geometry is up to scratch. Perhaps you need to brush up on your 1st grade mathematics?
It would appear you can't read either. It's when the left foot leaves the ground that the degrees of rotation is calculated from. As we have established before this I under-rotated and so this was not a full 360, but it is definitely more than 180.
Heres something to compare to watch?v=t1l19hFwD28
If afterwards you still think it is only 180 then it must mean the entire wushu community of the world is wrong and you are right. Just don't get big headed from it...oops too late
Fuck the entire wushu community, that's bullshit. If it's counted from when the left foot leaves the ground, then I can easily do a 3600 whirlwind. I would like to say, with my complete trolling of your ass aside, that that's and awesome kick regardless of how many degrees you rotated.
go suck a rollmops you kraut fuck. chairman mao's back is facing the camera when his LEFT foot leaves the ground. Affronting wushu is affronting a red china and im proud of this fact.
@felipolipi2000 yeah i think the previous commens discussed whether it was exactly 360. the direction i faced is technically facing the camera, so it should be fairly close to 360. i might be off by a bit, but when compared to the international longfist 360 lotus it is similar rotation
one thing i figured from teaching myself aerials was that u should forget everything u know about butterfly kicks, cos that will just throw ur pivot point off. remember u will be facing backwards and that right leg lands first, the rest is just throwing urself to get speed and height. u might want to practise 1 handed cartwheels off ur right hand to get use to the motion
Land the lotus on one leg :)

@ShuaiZ hey, if that was 360, then shouldn't you be facing the direction you faced when you jumped?

@ShuaiZ oh ,, so if it were a perfect 360, you would be facing a bit to the ... ?
felipolipi2000 11 months ago
@felipolipi2000 a bit more to my right hand side, for starters i wouldnt be facing the way i came from but more towards camera direction
