  • Wow your's look great pulled up? What's the trick to that. is it braiding close up to the edge and using thinner peices of hair? Mine don't look to special pulled back...

  • @godsflame2 yes, braid close to the edge and closer together around the perimeter of your head

  • Dang!! This is the only video that shows d proper techniques step by step using words and visually too!!! No accents to try to decipher!!! Thanks a million!!! In this economy we have to take all expenses into out own hands yet still stay hot!!! Thank u again!!!

  • I havent had crochet braids since I was a little girl. remember crochet micros? lol I'm excited to do this hairstyle with some pretty wavy hair.

  • The best interpretation ever... About how much was the hair...

  • @MarQHen really can't remember the price :$...

  • i'm so loving this style at first i was agg but i got it. i found a unique way to make them stay!

  • i like this video... very helpful. THANX!

  • Where are u located? I need a new stylist!

  • ((((Beautiful)))) and very well done :0) I've seen lots of hair damage from. NONE experience people trying this technique.

  • how long does this style usually last?

  • @mzstarr1424 not sure, i only kept it in for 3 weeks

  • i can't wait to try this! how close should the hair b to each other?am i going to cover the whole braid?

  • @karonburgess187 you can do the back of your head spaced out and the front closer to each other

  • @BlckHair4u thanks 4 the help

  • It's called a latch hook for those that may have trouble finding it and it closes by itself when you start pulling down. I plan on doing this method this weekend because I really need to give my hair a rest. Thanks for the video

  • @MrsLawandaD no probs!

  • Nice! And I love the song!!!

  • good video! who is the singer in the background? I liked it too! this is soo much nutaral looking than weave only!

  • @denoleno thanks! singer is Kierra "Kiki" Sheard - 'You don't know'

  • te tres forte toi je tinviterais a installer un magasin en cote divoire

  • aww too bad...but it's still beautiful.

  • can you apply heat to this type of hair?

  • @lmcart021 no you can't, it's synthetic hair

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your video. I have learned so many ways of doing my hair MYSELF, thanks to women like you. I'll be getting this done this weekend

  • @AveIvy you're welcome!

  • How long does this take to do?

  • @CharliB78 it took me 4hrs...some people have done it in less time

  • Finally! A video that shows the knotting process up close.

  • Just a question how many packs of hair do u recommend for the straight hair instead of curly style? And what brand of hair?

  • @Missacrowley10 i'm really not sure because different hair brands have different amts of hair in each pack. So it depends. You can find out from whichever beauty shop you purchase the hair from.

  • Looks great

  • very cute

  • very creative but it seem to be time consuming

  • That look like it hurt I'm getting some contact wait yippi oan ur hair looks so full

  • @lovebirdy12 naw it doesnt hurt

  • excuse me what kind of braids did u use

  • @canitastethat2227 the video has it...

  • I love this! Really pretty girl !

  • I LOOOOOOOOOVE THIS u did a great job are u in atlanta?

  • @poohberry7 nope..C'bbean

  • How much u charge your clients for this style

  • Wooow! it is very well explicated! I have to find and purchase the latch hooker!

  • You did such a good job c: It looks really nice and do you think your knotting method is better than taking the two strands and tying a knot the regular way? Like does your method last longer than just tying it into a knot? thanks for this video c:

  • @BlackWomenHair I wasn't the one who came up with this method, i saw others do it like that... for me - the choice depends on the curl pattern of the hair but it can be done anyway that you choose to get it to stay.......

  • @BlckHair4u I wanted to know if tying it the way you do seem to last longer than tying it the regular way?

  • Wow u made this look so easy i wanna try it now, thanks for the video

  • Great job, and this sytle looks nice on you!! Also, great tuturial very helpful to other stylist that look for alternative hair options.

  • @jaubry50 thank you!

  • Great vid! Quick question - I bought hair today that is a similar texture to my natural hair. Instead of doing cornrows from the very front, can I leave out a section at the front & comb my natural hair over it? In order for it to blend.

  • @MissElle0x yes, you can try that too

  • Nice

  • Amazing! How long did it take you to do that? and did you have some help for the back of your head? It looks beautiful by the way!

  • @HebrideanMoon thnks, i think i took 4hrs...no i had 2 mirrors (1 in back, 1 in front)

  • where r u located???? do u do this on others or just ur self?????

  • @ruschone i'm from trinidad & tobago

  • @BlckHair4u ....TNT big up...:)

  • Hellow. Can you brush your crochet braid??? thank you

  • @OritoBun it all depends on the type of hair you use... but for this one in the start i basically used to smooth it with my fingers but after the 2nd week i used the brush...

  • good job! what did you put in the hair to keep it from tangling since it is synthetic?

  • Really great tut!!!

  • Can you swim in this hair an how did it hold up

  • @srg222 i don't know, i've never tried

  • Love it, great job

  • Grl it looks great but damn it look like hella work to take out

  • @MAQalima89 not really, just to cut the knot off

  • @BlckHair4u would that mean that we cannot reuse the hair again? I am just thinking its expensive if I am going to use the human hair.......just wondering if an easier alternative other than cutting has been found.....i like the finishing on crotchet its neater than the regular...

  • @gkimwell hmm you're right..might not be able to reuse it....not sure of any alternative other than weaving the back and sacrificing a few hair at the front...other than that...not sure of any

  • I love this video and the song, I was wndering how many packs of hair did u need for this beautiful look!

  • @SuperCocoalicious thanks so much, I think I used 2 packs

  • Thanks for the tips you gave me a month ago. My hair came out great. I am getting so many compliments on it. I did just as you said. Thank you, thank you !

  • @nloville you're welcome :D!

  • this is one of da best tutorials

  • Do you have to do this with curly hair or could you use a looser wave?

  • @AyeeYoAP yes it can be looser, but you may want to knot it alot so that it won't come loose or try different methods to see which one holds best

  • thank you so much this has been so helpful .

  • Hello, Yes this did help me a lot. my hair is....lets just say, not as thick as I want it to be. This helped me a lot...again thank you!!!!

  • @toniacbc no probs

  • Thank you

  • Hey How long did you wear dis style and how did you maintain it

  • @DarkieBarbie about a month...with little maintenance..( had it wrapped in a bun after the 1st week and moisturized it ever so often)

  • That is nice you have a shop?

  • @msjdolly naw i don't

  • Very Very Excellent Tutorial. Thank you for being generous with your knowledge. I have done this before on my daughter when she was 10. I sneakily watched my former hairdresser doing it to someone else and went out and bought the hook to try it myself at home. It turned out well. I used your method but did not tie it. (I'll do that next time.) My daughter is now 23...LOL..think she'll let me try it again?? LOL! .. It's lovely and allows the scalp to breathe and moisturized easily.

  • @lorrajack lol at how many years have passed! Perhaps she will lol, thanks alot though!

  • Thank You for the MUSIC!!!! Most of the time I have to turn down the volume on these videos because the music ranges from not christian to straight from the devils bedroom! I liked this video so much I watched it twice.

  • @shantrellhopson lol no probs :)

  • it doesn't even look like braids underneath, how did you manage to get them so close toghether. with mine i always see the braid, which i don't like

  • @tmacandi i don't know how to explain it but just place the hook as close to the last space that you inserted it

  • Can you please let me know how many strands were in each braid?

  • @momolicious21 i really can't remember, but i did the amount randomly

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! & thank you for sharing you knowledge! The video was WONDERFUL!!!!!

  • @momolicious21 no probs!

  • Thanks for the advice. I took some out and mousse it down. It came out beautifully. People can't believe I did it myself. But I think next time, I'm going to weave most of it and just crochet the top.

  • @honeylipsmoon ok cool! yes somehow i'd prefer doing just that as well >> (weaving the back and crochet the top)!! but glad to hear that it turned out well

  • Hi love the look, it really do look great. Question, is it possible u think to use hair cut off the wef?

  • @64ladyinred yes you can, if it's long enough

  • @bh4u I think you did an amazing job. I have purchased my hair and I am ready. I have a few questions, did you put your crochet hair really close together or did you space some of them out. I hope mine turn out like yours did. Your hair is just the right size, not too full nor is it too skimpy. Did you have too eliminate some bulk or did you just leave it how you installed it? Sorry if i'm asking too many questions, just want to make sure i'm doing it right. Thanks and God Bless!

  • @nloville thanks! following the size of the cornrows in this vid...I did the crochet in the back like index-finger-width-size but the front was done closer together...i think i had to razor down some sections though to get the overall size to my liking

  • nice but that is a latch hook not a crochet hook. beautiful. :-D

  • @bh4u How long did this style take for u to do it on ur own

  • @datgurlvp about 4 or so hours..some people say they take 2hrs

  • Who's singing?!! Girl the video was very helpful but the song was the business

  • @TheNeeuqnozama Kierra "Kiki" Sheard - 'You don't know'

  • Amazing, I never show that before!

  • Loved this! I am going to try to do this in my hair real soon

  • I finally got around to this yesterday. It took me forever cause I'm so slow! Next time I'm gonna weave most of it and crochet the top. But I love it. I followed your instructions and it was easy. I also used the second method which I like better. I just have to add a little more to close up my part. I used GoGo curls also and I made about 14 cornrows. Idk if that was too much but I looked like Diana Ross hair twin!!! I'm gonna mousse it down.

Thanks so much for the instructions!!!

  • @honeylipsmoon LOL@ diana ross hair twin!! less cornrows may have helped or increasing the spaces between each crochet plait. What you could do now is razor down some strands to get rid of the bulk. Do it in a way to avoid blunt ends tho

  • Great video

  • i like this. it looks like micro braids u cnt even tell its crocheted... gave me a good idea on it:)

  • Video very informative, precise, and professional. Extremely talent young lady. Keep growing.

  • @crochet65 thank you so much!

  • By far the best crochet braids tutorial on You tube. Damn it was hard finding this. Thank you so much!

  • good video!

  • omg...your hair is gorgeous. What hair did you use and what type of curl is it? I LOVE IT.

  • @kghbeauty thanks. I used "Freetress Bulk -- Gogo curl" here

  • Your hair turned out really pretty! :) I plan on doing some crochet braids this week and your video convinced me to go ahead and cut the hair in half for the shoulder length look. I love how yours looks full and thick. I'm the type that would rather have fullness over length. Great job!

  • Thank you so much going OUTSIDE so that we all could get a good view of how it looks and what you're doing because a lot of these videos are dark. Can't nobody see that darkness. Oh, and they look awesome. I like how they look more like tree braids and you can't really tell that they're crocheted in. Good job =)

  • @msbrandt06 thanks so much

  • Have you ever tried this method with human hair i love this style on you but i will do this hair 1st and then do the human hair i hope it will be nice ...wish me luck lol ....

  • @AngeLSophisticate you'll get through :)...nope never tried it with human hair tho

  • This is very pretty. Great job!

  • amaziNg !!! i couLdn'T do That TO saVE mY liFE lOl

  • @MrsInnocent thanks!

  • love this ur pretty :)

  • @faithprettywilli thanks :)

  • I tried this today and the knots are just so loose and noticeable :( I'm really dissapointed and taking them out in the morning.

  • @SmartAmerican1 oh my, u may want to part it in two knot it more than once, then part it in two knot again...alternate the partitions and knot accordingly (if this makes any sense)...other than that use less hair or try the other method next time (if you choose to try again)

  • @BlckHair4u - i use a little nail glue to keep from coming unloose..try that but be sure not to get on hair

  • @iloveaaronharrison never thought about that, thanks for the tip!

  • Not only do you have a great tutorial you as reap Jesus all the way through. It is so awesome to see God's Kingdom at work! Love ya sis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NaturallyinLove :D, thanks

  • very beautiful!

  • @Jaisha26 thanks :)

  • omg.. im having a difficult time with this.. its always mess up...

  • @DinadaLicious1 just take ur time u'll get it, knot it more than 2-3 times if necessary to get it to stay

  • @BlckHair4u thank u.

  • @BlckHair4u thnkx u

  • @prittylady72793 Thanks :)

  • what hair did you use in this video?:-D

    great video by the way!

  • Do you know where I could buy a crochet needle on internet?... Because I leave in Norway, and I don´t think that I could get it here....

  • @nounou194 try searching on Amazon for latch hook crochet needles

  • This is cute i've seen this using the old school way with the already braided hair. I never seen it like this. Im gonna have to try it. And your make up is so cute. I LOVE PINK!

  • @LadyDiva300 thanks girl! :)

  • this is cute :)

  • @mick2duniverse thanks!

  • u can get the latch hooks at any craft/sewing store or department store craft section. the same applies to the crochet needles.

  • How long did u wear this style? I remember crochets use to last a good two months or so! That was back in the day! I can't wait to do this style. I can use the extra money in my pocket. Thx for your help BlckHair4u!

  • @beautifulblkgurl no probs! I think it was about 3 or so weeks :(...lol...I cant remember why tho...needed a change? ..not too sure but yeh it could have lasted if I really wanted it to!

  • I luv it! Thanks for the tutorial , hope mine comes out as well!

  • @ebonyluvantony it will :)! thanks tho

  • Your hair came out so nice and I love that song by Kiki, that is one of my praise songs:)

  • @mekaziona thanks! and i'm glad to know -- beautiful song indeed!

  • wherer did you get the crochet neddle from....

lovin the hair doin it soon to mine:)

  • @washingtonleah79 thanks! I'm not from the states though, so I'm not certain as to where you can buy it. Checkout some of the other crochet vids and see if anyone mentions where you can get one.

  • @washingtonleah79 a lot of beauty supply stores are selling the latch hooks and if not you can purchase one right on amazon.com just type in crochet hook/latch hook you should find a pink one for like $6 and change but I found a simple one in my beauty supply store for $2.

  • @Finecutie4u thanks for replying to her comment

  • Fantastic!
