  • He is scared of liquid

  • health workers should take extra measures when treating patients with suspected rabies...they should wear mask and gloves to prevent the saliva to infect them

  • Scary stuff. May he rest in peace.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU Chuck Norris had rabies twice and survived.

  • For fucks sake don't give him a bloody drink you can see he's not well

  • milwakee protocol is far of a effective treatment. after the famous teen survival it has been tried on another patients but they did not survive.

  • Haits . So Sad About the Man :(

  • "Neither the patient nor his wife recalled that he had been bitten by a dog, cat, bat, or other mammal in the preceding months, and his skin showed no evidence of recent bite injuries or cuts"

There are other - albeit rarer - ways to become infected with rabies. If the saliva of an infected animal goes into the eye, mouth, any mucous membrane. In that case there'd be no bite site.

  • this looks like me when overdosed on crystal meth

  • My heart goes out to this man and his family. It amazes me how this virus went through evolution to rid its host of the one thing that can aid in recovery. Water.

  • Everyone, I would just like to address something. Even if one does survive rabies (which is incredibly rare) while yes, they survive. They will most likely be turned into a vegetable, due to the magnitude of the brain damage. So it is better to die of it.

  • @Imlegallyretarded Look up "Jeanna Giese," she survived rabies & seems almost normal. She talks a little slowly, but if you didn't know, you might not even notice it.

  • Damn, if I get rabies, I have no idea how to live with myself knowing what will happen to me in the future D:

  • Wow rabies is no joke

  • milwakee protocol is not certail in rabies but if i was a doctor i would atleast try that, 1% of hope is better than 0%, because right now their is no hope for rabies patients.

  • 1/3 of pop will die to this disease which is put in the water by terrorist or by our local goverment

  • @davidalexander100 Let me ask you something. Why on earth would you belive that? I've heard some silly stuff, but that is just beyond the pale! Come on! Grow up! x.x

  • @davidalexander100

Don't be ridiculous, rabies can't survive so much time outside it's host... If infected saliva gets dried up or dissolves too much in water (or other liquid that isn't blood or more saliva) the virus dies instantly.

  • 1/3 of pop will die to this desease which is put in the water by tarrior

  • in the water

  • this is fucking dangerious disease when i see these rabies video it makes me angry i feel like killing dogs and animals son of bitch wild creatures fuck you

  • @prasish not as if its the animals fault. humans with the disease are no different by th end. they become crazy by the end, foaming at the mouth and all just like the wild animal that bit them.

  • @prasish u dumb fuck

  • rip

  • I had this shit before.

  • I believe this man is faking the symptoms. The fact that he waits so patiently till they cue him to take a drink and THEN he starts freaking out.

Perhaps they wanted a more controlled demonstration of the kind of behavior to be expected but it would have been better to use an actual patient. The fact that the IV is going into the "top" of the forearm instead of the "inner" side is another indicator someone just taped an IV to his arm for effect. That site would be a poor for a major vein.

  • @OkamsRazer If you think this is fake then you are a fool. The only reason he freaks out is NOT because he is afraid of the fluid itself, but instead he is afraid of the idea of drinking it. Which is why he does not start having convulsions untill he puts it up to his mouth. Rabies effects the brain neurologally and that explains why he cant drink.

  • People hardly suffer with aids when they have proper treatment. When death comes, if it even is from aids they are not psychologically assaulted, as is the case in rabies. Which explains why he can hardly stand the idea of fluid going down his throat. Instead with aids you die of some mild cold or flu due to your compromised immune system.

  • The reason i believe of hydrophobia in rabies is because rabies is a disease from the devil and in devil hates water

  • @FunnyPeople922 Haha that's a good story to scare the children too young to understand what rabies is really about.

  • @FunnyPeople922 Rabies is caused by a virus that causes swelling of the brain. No religious mumbo jumbo involved. Hydrophobia occurs because the throat and jaw become slowly paralyzed as the disease progresses. Victims panic when presented with liquids to drink, and if they do attempt to drink the mouth often automatically rejects it.

  • @FunnyPeople922 HAAHAAHHAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA

  • @andrtaker aids stays with you for life killing you slow and painfully. this guy has rabies he'd rather have rabies then aids as atleast its not a long suffering

  • @iToasterman AIDS isn't classified as a terminal disease anymore. Rabies is.

  • @iToasterman aids is not the virus..hiv is. hiv stays with you for life, but with proper care it's not painful and in fact people live long, fullfulling lives with it.in fact, there is no suffering. aids is a term for when a person with the hiv virus has not enough healthy cells to fight off stuff like a cold, etc. In any case, unless you're in a third world country, have no access to treatment or refuse to take care of yourself, having HIV is not a long suffering.Like diabetes.

  • @Nicollie1062 my dad is diabetic and isnt suffering. and ty for informaning me, i was always confused :D

  • @iToasterman Cool:)).yeah I meant it in the way that people with diabetes don't suffer either :) I guess the sentence structure was a bit off lol..I meant it like " Having HIV is not a long suffering just like diabetes isn't a suffering either" ...as long as people are educated about their condition and take care of themselves. But yeah, Take care :))) <3

  • @Nicollie1062 I was talking to a teacher about a concept to kill off HIV and other diseases like cancer :D

Assuming normal diseased and mutated diseased cells carry a comon gene, and this gene has a weakness we can kill the cells from that gene. The problem is cracking the code... ;P

  • I'm so thankful after seeing this !!

  • He's having what you call layrngeal spasms.

  • That is so sad

  • poor guy

  • Yes, the man died. If you don't get vaccination in time, its 100% you WILL DIE :(

  • Was he ok?

  • Fucking disease :(

  • vsauce

  • did he die

  • is this real?

  • Worst disease after Fatal Familial Insomnia.

  • @TheXavierConspiracy Yeah that's a nice one. 7-18 months with no sleep, dying in total psychosis and confusion. Rabies is more painful physiologically I believe.

  • This man is dead. RIP.

  • Who from Vsauce?

  • Close your eyes and listen to this...

  • I did not know that rabies cause hydrophobia

  • :(

  • rip

  • Rabies has 100% mortality, once symptoms appear you die, its a matter of time before you die.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU

wrong, rabies has a 99.99999997% mortality rate, where only one person survived rabies, Jeanna Giese.

  • @boomguy12345

That's what science tells you. Science has an element of mind control. No disease has that high of mortality rate. If you have the right antibodies and are exposed to the right strain you can be exposed to rabies and never develop it. That's why the vaccine works. It's a weakend strain of rabies. After the disease develops however it's a near certain thing that the victim is a goner. In summary, even if a person gets exposed, it's a crapshoot if the disease will develop.

  • @AugustusLarch

I meant without prior vaccination of rabies.

  • @boomguy12345

Someone can get exposed to rabies and carry the pathogen and never develop the disease. Blood antibodies can keep the disease from developing. Type O blood has the best chance against any disease. Magic Johnson has HIV and never developed AIDS. He isn't the only one. Even bubonic plague only developed in 33% of those exposed. Only a weaponized cocktail of several different strains of rabies would be so pontent. Nature doesn't have that kind of pontency on it's own.

  • @AugustusLarch

Excuse me once again, I meant symptomatic rabies. Only 6 people in the recorded history of the world have survived it without vaccination.

  • @AugustusLarch

Oh and it's actually six people, my bad.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU

Not true, there are known recent cases of recovery from full blown rabies. The treatment is called the Milwaukee protocol. Look it up. One day no person with medical attention will die of fully developed rabies. I surmise it will expand to pets as well. The world changes every day.

  • @AugustusLarch

Yeah, the treatment does increase the chance greatly, as 6 people have survived by using it, and the revised protocol has a survival rate of about 20%.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU unless treated

  • @BlindedOranges There is no treatment. You can prevent rabies from developing by vaccination / immunoglobulins, but unfortunately there is no treatment, once rabies develops.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU oh my bad, i meant from the inital bite or whatever it is, yeah you're right when the symptoms appear... you're done for

  • @FenrisHasCumForU Actually there has been only one person in history that survived rabies.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU

Actually its 99.9%. Its very rare but one or two ppl have survived rabies.

  • ... Not quite 100% = google "Milwaukee protocol"...

  • @FenrisHasCumForU only 1 case in recorded history : Two years ago, 15 year old Jeanna Giese became the first person, without the aid of a vaccination, to survive Rabies. Rabies is a killer, one of our most ancient and deadly enemies. When doctors see the symptoms, there is nothing they can do. Rabies is 100% fatal.

  • @FenrisHasCumForU Not always, depends on how early you start treatment.

  • @StdsRbop1 He said once the symptoms appear

  • @FenrisHasCumForU I think 2 people have survived rabies, not sure. I got this information off of a Discovery Channel show.

  • @squemish51

Impossible. Once the neuro-virus enters the blood stream and symptoms occur, rabies is impossible to survive. You can cure Rabies early before symptoms, but after the 7 week mark, it's too late.

  • He can't be dead. If he's dead, he's a zombie. That's not possible. He's infected and neurologically sick. Like if he has Cerebral Palsy in a way.

  • @andynotforsale Dude, he had rabies. This man died years ago.

  • May allah save this man

  • @Kasakee2 hes dead already .. what save dude ?

  • Why those infected have this reaction to water?

  • @rhcantarella in the late stages of rabies, the infected people salivate constantly, but their throat and jaw are completely paralyzed. This causes the body not to be able to control the fluid in the mouth, making his body feel like it's constantly drowning. :(

  • @rhcantarella they are unable to swallow . they afraid if they do swallow any type of water they might choke to death

  • fuck man

    that's terrible.

  • People who make fun of people who are sick with incurable diseases and viruses, know this--what goes around comes around.

  • this is taerable

  • if he had rabies to that stage, chances are he didn't make it :(

  • It's odd, I thought furious rabies created a more "agressive" profile on humans. Are you sure it wasn't paralytic rabies? May this poor man rest in peace...

  • Poor guy I really feel bad from him. :,(

  • blind fold and a straw plus drugs that'll make them tired hopefully the resisting part in your body will shut down for a while?

  • Christ there are a lot of retarded people commenting on this video.

  • Damm poor guy... I feel bad for him

  • Poor guy... That much effort for a single sip :/

  • Poor guy... :,(

  • he should just use a blind fold, and use a straw

  • @magicswaper it does not help,sadly...

  • </3

  • Fuck the viet cong

  • omg! i fell so bad for him D: i was cringing! ahhh! D: Truly breaks my heart too

  • the action of us drinking normally is a blessing from god that should be thanked

  • @HIKAJO You serious? If the act of us drinking normally is a blessing, then what's this? Punishment? I have no idea what type of god you believe in but the thought that he could ever inflict this on somebody is just horrible.

  • @lordassassin89 no it's not, it's a test .. if he was patient and wasn't angry about what happened to him he'll be rewarded with heaven after he dies.

and you can't just judge from the looks maybe this man did something wrong and deserved a punishment, don't you think?

  • @HIKAJO That sounds very cruel. I hope this isn't what they teach you in whatever cult you're from.

I hope you gain a mental illness as bad as his.

  • @HIKAJO

Fanatics always trying to give a stupid religious explanation even to this terrible disease. I think you're an idiot.

  • @HIKAJO go to a non-religious school where God isn't the main subject

  • @HIKAJO you're fucking ridiculous any religious person that thinks like that is on the same level as people that are mentally retarded or insane on my scale they think the same anyways...

  • its like edger alan poe, and if this perosn, or any other human gets a sevier case it could be the first actule zombie :O

  • So he can drink water but it is just a mental thing that people gain over time.

  • Its really sad that all the people you are watching from these rabies symptoms videos already passed away. :´(

  • Sad but I feel glade he was able to swallow the water it shows determination...

  • Me with rabies - " Doctor, please bring me a pistol. I'm outta here ". I feel sorry for this guy, he's toast once the virus has progressed this far.

  • This is amazingly sad may God help him

  • I feels bad...can't you give him a hollow pill filled with water?

  • @sniperwhg They probably already feed him and give him water through a tube.

  • Worldwide there are over 50,000 deaths a year + # of cured and waiting to die from rabies.... Doesn't sound rare exactly. It's rare in many areas, but in some developing countries there is a large stray dog/cat population that contributes to the spread.

  • Very sad....... his rabies is far along. It is unlikely he was able to survive. Generally the cure must be administered within 10 days. That is usually before symptoms show @ around 2 weeks..... and hydrophobia is a late stage symptom. So sad.

  • i fickng hate kids making fun of him u heartless freaks the man is sick

  • @supermario98able he's dead, not sick.

  • I don't blame him... If i had to drink that shit water i'd freak out too.

  • rest in peace

  • so if you have the late stages of rabies, there's no way to save that person?

  • @MadCherry rabies has been cured for a long time and this man is probably fine now

  • @usernam569 No cure for rabies, I'm afraid. Only vaccination. Huge difference.

  • @finjakke mmhmm true but its still very rare to get the disease.

  • @usernam569 rarity is not a cure :)

  • @jokergd but it can be the solution.

  • OMG how sad, hope some1 finds a cure soon...

  • Would it help at all if he used a long straw?

  • FUCK YOU RABIES. DIE AND ROT IN HELL.

  • Poor guy

  • D: I was in Hanoi earlier this year........ That's scary!!!

  • damn u.u

  • Can You Donate Or Something? I Wana Help!!

  • wait thats water? i thought it was coke.

  • @mgproductions2007 it's probably tea or something

  • Where is this taking place? China?

  • @Alman556 It says Vietnam at the beginning

  • wt he didnt want to drink it because that water looked like shit

  • @darkguy1243 its soda

  • @darkguy1243 he has rabies he gets hydrophodia and his body is telling him he cant drink it and its soda

  • May God help our brothers and sisters around the world to stay away from this disease. This poor brother, wherever you are right now, Im hoping youre in good hands now.

  • @darklourd There is no god.

  • @Jeffersonwazright there is a god. he believes in u even tho u dont believe in him. bless ur poor soul

  • @qpraulitoqp Prayer does not work. This has been scientifically proven. God also cannot be proven. You people are all reading ancient texts that were way off on a lot of things. We now have science. SCIENCE may or may not have helped this man survive rabies....NOT GOD.

  • @Jeffersonwazright Yeah, you prove it all man, you prove it all. /sarcasm off.

  • wow, I feel really sad now!!

  • Wait in the description, you said that the man wasnt bitten by any rabid animals at all, so how the hell he acquired rabies? This scares the shit out of me even more! So this means that this could happen to anyone without noticing it? Shit, I better stay home more often.

  • @darklourd

Maybe a rabid infected dog licked his wound before....dogs' saliva..the killer!

  • @jonnaSKATE Man, one day your going to get some horrible disease, and you wont be laughing will you?

  • I wonder how he showers.?

  • @JonnaSkate

Hope you get this disease you bitch!

  • can he not survive ? ,,hydrophobia in rabies is an early symptom ///

  • Can he still take a shower or he just cant drink ?

  • @Seedot0001 'just cant drink' because drinking isn't important at all.

  • @Freestyleforcerer I was wondering,If it just that he cant drink and that he can do everything else with water

  • Can he still take a shower or he just cant drink ?

  • poor guy.... :(

  • too bad :(

  • Poor guy... =/

  • i have tears on my eyes...

  • poor thing...

  • @jonnaSKATE assface!

  • Vsauce sent me but wow this is scary.

  • If this is in 2009 I hope that guy got cured if not and he died I hope it was a peaceful death

  • @wolfmang22 sadly there is no cure for rabies

  • ...that must suck....like really bad
