I Think I Saw Most Of The Coolest Logos: 1. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment 2. Stretch Films Inc 3. Walt Disney Pictures (2006) 4. Orion Pictures Corporation/Nelson Entertainment 5. New Line Home Entertainment 6. HBO Home Entertainment 7. HBO Pictures 8. Surround Sound - "S From Hell" 9. Castle Rock Entertainment 10. Universal Studios Home Entertainment 11. Lionsgate Home Entertainment 12. Paramount Home Entertainment 13. The Weinstein Company Home Entertainment
I can definitely remember this on the "Greatest Adventure: Stories from the Bible" videos. I always thought there was something rather ... ominous about the music. I mean, I've thought that since the days when I didn't even know there was such a word as "ominous" nor what it meant.
@xxpandamidknightxx My thoughts exactly. It's like this: you pop in the video tape and as soon as it starts playing, go and play hide-and-seek with the WorldVision logo before you see or hear it!
one time i accedentaly turned the tv volume up to loud when this came on and it scared the shit out of me! it still scares me bacuse of thay one unforgetable moment. I should sue them because of it. I'm scared for life
This defiently gives the Viacom "V of Doom" logo a run for it's money, scare factor wise. This probably would have scarred me for life had I have seen it when I was 3-9.
I remember having this logo for some of my Hanna-Barbera video tapes. Boy did this one terrify me, not only when I saw it and heard it, but also in my dreams as well.
Now the Whoosh at the beginning didn't scare me, but the music that did, especially when the background and words invert. It's so unnerving, and makes my hairs stand on ends. If I was caught off-guard and scared by the whoosh sound, that music really moves in for the kill.
Watch the Media West Home Video and Crown Movie Classics logos: they use the same jingle less the WHOOSH, but the jingle is pitched one whole tone higher. The name of the music is "Superstar Fanfare" and is composed by Keith Mansfield.
Does anyone have the Worldvision Home Video Promo from 1983 with the slogan Were Comin At Aha! when they show clips of Cartoons, Movies, Series and Specials that Worldvision Home Video have back in the 80's!
Actually A More Different Verison (With The Paramount/Viacom Byline Below "Home Video" When Viacom Brought All Of The Worldvision Videocassettes Including The Company Itself And Started Re-Issuing Them Under Their Republic Pictures Home Video Name Which Are Now Distributed By Artisan Home Entertainment/Lionsgate Entertainment).
about 8 years ago,I frickin loved this, and I still do.I had a problem, and when I was about 2,I didn't go home,I spent time with my grandparents for half a year. And I listened to this every fricking day,and she kept on watching the little fricking house on the fricking prarie.
Worldvision International is cool, they provide assistence to third world countries.Plus they have no scary woosh logo.I prefer charitable Worldvision over Scary Worldvision.
That still scares the poop, out of me,especially the woosh. Those of us in our mid 20's and 30's had many logos to fear. These Kids today have it too easy(Ha Ha).
Bring The Worldvision Home Video Logo (Later Followed By The Lionsgate Logo) Back To DVDs Starting With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Other Modern DVDs.
I was never scared of the Worldvision logo before (although it does look a bit creepy), but this original version... fricken hell man!! Especially when you've got your vollume turned on loud!! No wonder they edited it to make it less scary for children who watch the Snorks on a regular basis!!
I love this vesion of the logo. It didn't scare the shit out of me, though. I used to be scared of it as a child, but I like the "WOOSH!!" part of it, plus the synthesizer music playing.
It was affiliated with Aaron Spelling - his charitable contribution was targeting Beverly Hills 90210 at seven year olds in 1990. I was one of those seven year olds!
I think it was on the Jetsons Meet the Flintstones VHS as well. I remember it from several other videos growing up. I was always unnerved by the Worldvision logo. I could probably wake up terrified from this logo in the middle of the night after falling asleep with the TV on.
Well, actually it cannot be a bigger WHOOSH. The TV 1989-99 logo has a smaller WHOOSH. It shall be the same. Can you upload the Worldvision Home Video 1985-1989 logo if you see it, please? Thanks.
Quite pompous. I swear, there was a committee out there in the 1980s that was constantly thinking of newer and better scare tactics for closing logos. I don't like how drawn out that music sounds and how creepy crawly the Home Video line was, as it slowly comes out of the wireframe globe. the screen is so dark (or perhaps it is the tape quality)you can't see Home Video.
I think this logo is funny because the woooooooooooooossssssssssssssshhhh
