The reason its called "fastest man" is cause its the fastest a man has gone with earth contact and no propellant(engine,rocket,etc). However only beats fastest bicycle by 4mph iirc.

you have to have balance and strength to hold a tuck and it has to be perfect or else youll lose speed. you need the guts to go that fast,pretty scary. need to know how to properly slow down or else you can seriously hurt yourself.When your actually going around gates, theres WAY more to it: form, what line you take, how hard you push on your edges, how close you ski to the gate,even how you start can be the difference between 1st and 10th.Know what your saying, before typing something ignorant

OMG! Im a ski racer, and one time we did a drill where we had to tuck down a pretty steep hill, and i got clocked at 82 mph, and I was scared shittless! But god it was fun! But I can imagine going THAT fast!

Fastest I've ever gotten is probably somewhere in the 40s or low 50s =S... I do race for highschool but all we do here is slalom, so kids dont really get faster than 30s in an actual race...
