Wow, everyone has this totally wrong. These guys are so far beyond the genre bullshit. They write technical and melodic music. The fact that he screams occasionally doesn't automatically put them in the hardcore genre haha

Yep. Its become a joke though nowadays with the whole genre categorising. Someone has to make and album or song called "Your band is "The Fall of Troy"" or something...the amount of comparisons to that band is just hilariously inaccurate.

The vocals are trendy/hardcore, and the drums are hardcore. Song structure begins in a rather hardcore manner, the energy of the song feels largely hardcore. The technical nature of the guitar lines, the time signature changes, are math rock. The guitar textures feel somewhere in between.

Consider the effectiveness of genres when analyzing a song's components.
