Im building a red white burn kor ally deck for fun right now but its rly good or rly bad so i dont think it wud be good in vintage(cuz thts all my decks can enter stupid standard) my best deck by far is my red blue deck(idk what catagory it would fall under) cuz i can make em discard 6 cards every time i play a land from turn 2 out, 2 hedron crabs:) its rly good at slowing you down and speeding itself up for the kill with spellbound dragon/Sphinx of jwar isle
i have an alara set burn deck with some old burn but i think its a little slow and there isnt a card place where i live nemore and there r some cards im looking for that would help my deck out is there ne advice u can give me to improve it..also i have trouble building multicolored decks and i dont know what to put with what i have a blue white green deck(deckout-blocking-trample)but i dont know how to make good ones
I like Fulminator Mage rather then the gouger. In t2 standard everyone plays nonbasic. It can destroy the turn four wrath as you set them back a turn and just keep swinging in. It is a struggle against mono colors such as kithkin, which you would in that case sideboard it out. Also when playing against standard reveillark, Relic of Progenitus is a nice card to sideboard in screws up the graveyard and is a easy to pay one drop.
This deck does not run gouger any more. he is great and all but in the long run he is just too slow. in the new meta, RDW has to be extremly fast and uber agressive.... just my thought.
but in this new format your not seeing terrow and the 4 toughness isnt as important as a lot of the control decks are no longer running burn as a deffence. right now ramgang is much much more effective due to its speed. Also the other 3 drops slot went to hell's thunder. Both are much more effective right now than gouger.
Right now I would probably go with Lash Out over Shock, leaving Lash Out, Incinerate, and Flame Javelin. I like cards that deal damage to opponents in these decks.
I have found Kithkin to be very challenging for the Red Deck. First of all there is no really great answer to Spectral Procession (you often end up killing more of your own cards in order to deal with 1/1s that were produced by only one of the opponent's cards); secondly, they have Forge-Tender, which is really very difficult to beat because they control the race.
That is certainly true, and I play that card in my sideboard; the problem is that you are spending time putting a three into play and they are using the same time to build tokens and attack you. It's certainly not "bad" against Kithkin... but remember that they are also a dangerous attack deck. I prefer cards that directly affect the board from a speed perspective. When I said Kithkin is difficult, I was thinking of dealing with Spectral Procession more than anything else. Thanks for the reply!

the main thing is that he has 4 toughness and is unterrorable

Doesn't the red deck play well against kithkin because of Firesprout and Pyroclasm?

What about Everlasting Torment? It's really good against kithkin, shutting off Knight of Meadowgrain, and Burrenton Forge-Tender
