  • Oh man. I could never sacrifice a WRX for a Scion xB. But if you can't afford it that's life, I know how it goes. I still have WRX wet dreams and I've never owned one.

  • Congrats Xolette on your new car! Good choice....Nice ride :)

  • @DavesAV6 Thanks!

  • I'm with your dad on this one: that is one ugly-ass car.

  • @Xolette i don't mean all toyotas. cause they are practical and nice. and my dream car is a toyota supra. you made a good choice regardless what others say, cause you sound happy about the trade!

  • @wrxFTWdey Thanks! I am happy with it... after 25,000 miles. Good luck with your WRX :)

  • man... i guess it's ALL preference! :( my 2011 wrx has almost all the interior features of your xB and i live in LA, so the traffic sucks... haha. the 2011 is really safe too! idk about the gas mileage though :P i guess you made a good choice! let the kids have the subaru's and you get a practical car :) sad to see another owner leave subaru... if i had to leave mine and get a toyota... i'd get super depressed each time i got behind the wheel!

  • @wrxFTWdey It's all about your lifestyle-- mine works for me plus its great on road trips when I have to haul 2 dogs and my 4 parrots and a boyfriend. :)

  • It's not even a comparable car. She traded a fun little sports car for a toaster. Obviously the wrx is a better performing car. So people, stop getting so raged!

  • my little sister drives one of those things to work at the acura dealership lol:)

  • NOOO NOT THE WRX D:

  • NOOOO NOT THE WRK d:

  • sell me your wrx :D

  • nonononono it is not better than a wrx unless crap is better than steak.

  • @Prodriver33 Depends on your p.o.v. If you need less expenses and more room, and not necessarily speed or better handling, than the Scion is better than the WRX. If you want better performance, definitely the WRX is better.

  • @Xolette fuck performance. safety and reliability are what you said good buy to!

  • JDM!

  • Her dad is just upset he can't borrow the wrx anymore

  • @Filthy4thewin Very true :)

  • Coolest dad ever :D

  • I'm at 30,000 miles for my 2010 Scion XB. I bought it because of the space, practically, and the styling. It's boxy but doesn't look obviously that boxy like the Cube. The "less is more" styling is obvious in the XB. I added Clazzio leather covers ($200 fullset) and tinted the windows to make it more fun car to be in. All my friends can't believe how spacious is it inside. I was able to fit a 70" flat screen boxed in this car.

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM Nice! I agree, the xB isn't as obnoxiously boxy like the Cube. :) I also love the space in the xB!

  • @Xolette I work at a Toyota dealership, and I can honestly say that it took some time to get used to the xB. But yeah, for me, I started to like it after I sat in one after another. They really are ROOMY! I feel like if you want to break the world record for how many people you can fit in a car, this would be the car to use. Also, the xB has TONS of accessories: JDM, Performance, TRD pack., even luxury accessories lol. But yeah this car is great for long rides and gas saving! Have fun with it!

  • It's just kinda funny because I used to have a 2001 Benz E320...but now I have a 2007 WRX. I say THAT'S an upgrade for me XD.

    I hated my benz XD

  • @crazyjflipkid My first impression was, "It looks like a box" and I just wanted a small hatchback. But once I sat aside, I was sold. :) Thanks for the comment!

  • You won't beat a 2009+ WRX when they updated the engine to 265 HP, in fact after they did that the WRX has had a faster 0-60 time than the Sti

  • @McFly2015AD For sure, the xB is not made to go faster than a WRX.

  • No lie I seen one with the license plate " TOASTER" on it

  • @xlasvegan7x That is awesome!

  • wrx to acura tl it call upgraded! wrx to scion xb........sorry about that.

  • BUT THE WRX IS A BEAST! :(

  • When you said "cool knobby thing", I cracked up. Haha.

  • Your dad is either mean, or jealous..lol

Now you need to throw in a turbo and make over 300hp

  • Awww. I feel bad for your dad. Let him know that the Scion xB isn't for the new generation but for people who want more room and better MPG. It is good for that. The WRX is an icon of performance, durability, and all weather fun and has as rabid of a youth following as any performance car has. If someone is not going to love and drive the hell out of their WRX they might as well sell it to someone that will appreciate the car right?

  • @dsmluck I completely agree :)

  • @Xolette Does your dad own a performance car? If not maybe he should consider getting one instead of convincing you that you need one.

  • Subaru wins everytime, all the time. The greatest cars built on earth. ( yes I'm a bit of a fanboy) Especially if you live where its snows. You would poo your pants if you saw what my subarus have driven through without even breaking a sweat. Listen to your father. I'm a father, I should know, we're nearly always right. 8P Haha okok I'm sorry. I hope you have a great experience with your Scion Xolette.

  • WRX all the way

  • Instrument•••

  • I like it! But takes time getting use to the instrament cluster

  • @lexusES350h I got used to it pretty quick-- I love the speedometer

  • i cant believe you downgraded

  • hahaha @ eh whatever...

  • i agree with him, its a box. a boxey box box car. no style at all just a box. i think the only car thats really made any style points is the nissan juke. most other cars just blend together and the scion is just a box.

  • @00PEACE00DUDE00 The box look turned me off at first-- but the spacey interior won me over.

  • @00PEACE00DUDE00 the space got me too. i test drove an 07 eclipse. when i got in the xB, i was like "wow"& the salesman who rode with me, sat in the back and was like, "now my legs can breathe."

  • @00PEACE00DUDE00 i'm curious to see what the next redesign will look like.

  • oh god.....son, i am dissappoint

  • inside of the scion looks so cheap

  • niiiice. i've got a silver '08 xB. i just bought it about 6 mos ago, and people are always asking me about it.

...the new generation. LOL. (that's funny) my grandmother couldn't wait to go for a ride!! (she's 87.lol)

  • @ccarbon11 Haha-- my dad would've only been pleased if I had the 2011 Mustang

  • @Xolette Another fantastic car.

  • Oh wow! You purchased your Scion xB in my hometown!! I purchased my 2011 Fit from the Honda dealership across from that very Toyota dealership...!

Yay practicality! Small cars are fantastic. :]

  • @bunnyblue2 Cool :) If you're ever looking for a new car, I highly suggest NOT going to Hanlee's. They were horrible with my car and kept messing things up- like charging random things to me, not keeping an appointment with me that I scheduled, not ordering the accessories I asked for, and then ordering the wrong accessories.. Good thing you went shopping across the street. P:)

  • I like your enthusiasm & the way you present yourself but you really can't say "Scion XB vs Subaru WRX" because they're 2 totally different classes of cars.

You don't seem like a woman who's out for speed & glory but simply to get from A to B without any obstructions in between. I'm a Subaru guy & I also work on them so I know how costly they can be in those rare moments of failure.

The Scion XB is actually a pretty tough little vehicle so it will withstand quite a bit. Just don't kill it soon!

  • @DOHCEJ22E1 I agree in that they are different classes of cars-- maybe it'd be better to title it Sports Sedan vs Urban Vehicle, but I think in the description you get the point. I was young and I thought the Subaru would suit me back then, but now that I'm older, I love my new car. Thanks for your comment.

  • You're really cute. Too bad girls like you are very rare

  • dude the majority of people that buy xbs are older just sayin

  • It's pretty wild how roomy new little cars are . And I don't even own as many cups as your car can hold:-P

  • @Beachcrib Yes, incredibly roomy! The cupholders on the side are so big that I can keep my nalgene in the bottle on the side on hand. :)

  • WHY!

  • wow, you r so cute

  • i really dig the new design of the Scion xB, both interior and exterior. the WRX is an awesome car, but definitely not practical for your uses. the xB is a better choice in this case, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. have fun!

  • yayee agree to disagree

and i must say i am impressed with your knowledge most women (without trying to be sexist) are just uninterested in cars, exept color and they think that makes the car. but you go deeper. Nice

and i do like the XB just not as much as a WRX id take a XB over a forrester or tribeca, but dont tell anyone -_-

    its been fun xolette :)

  • bottom line if u got good taste in cars like Innovative and solid technology buy subaru

if u want options to show off to your friends and then never use, grab urself a XB cause younger generation dont know jack about practicality

  • @MrMcswiggens You sound very passionate about WRXs and are entitled to your opinions of the Scion and Subaru. To answer your questions, I bought my own car, as I am 30 and able to afford things, like a car. I've owned both the Subaru and Scion for over a year and I believe performance-wise, the Subaru beats the Scion. The Scion though is definitely more practical in terms of cost, insurance and has a lot of room. Thank you for your comments.

  • @Xolette...swag...

  • btw im the younger generation too im 21 and took out a loan for my Subaru

    pops by u ur XB?

  • one thing that TOTALLY disgust me is when peopl say Scions are so much more customizable.... YEA IF YOUR A CAR NOOB AND YOU CANT CUSTOMIZE AFTER YOU BUY THE CAR

    GAH

Scion drivers are such NOOBS they dont even know there driving crappy ecoboxes

  • Which is faster?

  • @xAbre1200 Subaru

  • @Xolette hey I have a question?? my mom wants to trade her 2010 corolla Le for a 2011 scion xb...do you still need to pay monthly? my mom payed her car full. but wants to trade it for the scion...do you still need to pay monthly? or no? Just wondering....

  • @sex14 If you're trading in a car that's worth, let's say $11,000 for a new car worth $18,000, of course you will have to pay the difference. It's up to you if you want to pay that difference monthly or all at once.

  • @Xolette ohhh okay thanks thats all I need to know thanks again :)

  • any regrets?

  • @FrapsYou Definitely not-- I have tons of room. Easier to drive in 5 mph traffic. I'm saving money on gas, insurance, and maintenance. And my stereo is a lot better. The only thing I could miss about my Subaru is the turbo, but I barely used it.

  • @Xolette great! u look more cool in current car than the subaru. (stereotyping: just like being in the kitchen).

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well then again she is a women, they dont know anything about cars, just cooking! XD

  • you should have sold me the WRX :/

  • I love both cars, but i'm only 16 so i drive the scion. Maybe someday i will have a wrx.

    WRX = the WORX

  • SUBARU>SCION

  • WRX=For the Car Lovers and Enthusiasts (more experience and $ is needed) thats why i drive one :)

XB= For the "HIP" generation an everyday car with low cost and very subdued performance

Fit= for when you just need to have a car as cheap as possible

  • @MrMcswiggens I'm pretty sure you need less experience to drive a WRX as a computer babysits you with the all wheel traction control. I agree that xB is marketed towards a younger generation-- I like it for the room and the practicality.

  • @Xolette pahahahaha less experience? explain yourself plzzzzz

XB is a fucking kids toy according to a STI

  • H/o H/o a computer babysits you? haha really? u dont think thats the LSD or gearing?

TRYY to drive a 5 speed wrx then post it i wanna watch you fail..

and do they even make a manual XB? seeing as how its for the younger cool scene people...(IT HAS TO BE SIMPLE FOR UNEXPERIENCED COCKY YOUTH)

  • @MrMcswiggens Yes. The Subaru's computer ensures that you don't skid-- look it up. It's a safety feature that goes with the AWSD which is why subaru is great for icy areas. I had a 5 speed WRX for 3 years, and i have a 5 speed xB- watch the video. No difference in the skill that takes to drive either. The xB isn't simpler for youth, it's more safe and more customizable. Interior-wise, the WRX is very simple and has a spartan interior in comparison.

  • @Xolette ok its AWD is no different than any other car just a fancy name

its got a Vicious REAR DIFF which is only a 1.5 LSD Limited Slip (NOT A NO SLIP THAT IS A 2 WAY DIFFERENTIAL) quit quick referencing lil shit to win the argument if u dont know the subject.. you dont know...

and my wheels skid all the time on gravel its not a perfect system and if you want to let youth spool up a turbo liuke its any ol car then go ahead but be prepared to replace your turbo soon and your engine sooner.

  • Quit touting this Saftey BS Subaru and Toyota are just as safe as each other, and a wrx is INSANLY more likely to be able to avoid an accident with its low weight dist. Better to have the option to avoid than pay to fix :/

The only thing Simple about the WRX is the amount of Padded Bullshit options that weak ass drivers need.

I DO NOT want a sun roof electrical everything cause id rather have a 3028lbs suby than a 3238 lb suby NUFF said

  • I'm so sorry but I would never trade a WRX for a Scion XB, I own a 2011 WRX and I simply enjoy every second I spend on that car, but if you love your Scion, good for you, not gonna argue, congrats!

  • @mitoda I loved my Subaru too-- but not for long car rides with my boyfriend, 2 dogs, and 3 birds. :) Glad you're enjoying your Subaru!

  • Should have gotten an sti

  • I have Subaru 2,5i wagon, and like very much Scion XB

  • lol and im trying to trade my tC for a WRX!

  • @Malikot911 That's funny :) It all depends on your needs. Be prepared for a raise in your insurance prices, raise in gas price, the spartan interior of a WRX compared to a tC, and less cargo space (no seats that fold down). I highly recommend you taking a WRX on a test drive just so you can see the inside, if you haven't yet. But if you have a greater need for speed and performance, a WRX is a great choice!

  • @Xolette hehe speed.. maybe... but performance is more like it... we have bad winters here.. and i dont want to replace my car with an SUV.. im just not ready for an SUV yet :)... AWD car is what i need.. but I like scions too.. i love my tc.. but should have bought an xb instead because i have 2 dogs and i need the room!

  • @Malikot911 That's true, the AWD would be good for winter driving-- however, I detested having to replace all 4 of my tires when one went out. I have 2 dogs as well and have plenty of room in my xB to put one in a kennel and one in the backseat with his dog bed! For that reason, I didn't miss being cramped in my WRX on long car trips. Best of luck with what you choose!

  • i agree with pops lol but as long as you like it right?

  • You are insane...My mom has an Xb....I have a yellow 03 WRX. I've driven her "car" and it's okay...but it doesn't compare to how a Subie handles, accelerates, sounds....etc...your dad is right, "whatever"

    Hahaha

  • should have got an sti

  • why would anyone trade a WRX for a scion?!?!?!?! WAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!?!?!?!

  • Like the reviews, forget the haters. I am interested in a scion xb myself, did your dealership have options to customize the vehicle and would that include customizing the engine for more power ?

  • @nateeb Check out the Scion website-- it'll show you the modifications available. I don't remember customizing the engine for more power, but I remember a scion user getting a borshe exhaust put in? I'd check that out as well.

  • @nateeb

if you want more power you would have to know how to do that yourself

buy a turbo kit etc etc

  • lovee the video was actually debating on this car and another one....but after watching the video totally getting the xb

    p.s your dad is epic

  • @chelscole Good luck on your purchase! I love my car. All the room is a plus and it has a good amount of power, esp with stick shift

  • my dad and cousin have the 2006 xb. the boxier looking one. they are perfectly good cars. i have a 2006 tc and have had NO problems with it at all. They are very reliable cars. :)

  • @Bikerboi Nice to hear that 2006 is so reliable. My 2007 subaru, after having it for 3 years, cost a lot in maintenance so it's good to hear the xB is treating you well :)

  • why would you get rid of such an amazing car for such a.... i dont even know what you would call that thing!

  • @OGL0K0 Check the description

  • welcome to the Scion family... the xB's are good cars...

  • @djflames24 Yup! I love mine.

  • @Xolette indeed...

  • That sure is one sad final drive, you should have left me give it a good final drive, and your dad is hillarious, -Fred Rogers-

  • @cmreif2 Haha, yah right. The turbo would kick in then you'd drive my car like a mad man. I was sad at first, but there's really nothing I miss about my Subaru. But dad sure misses it though.

  • I think I'll stick with my wrx LOL!!

  • @kongakonga Of course :) Scion's not for everyone.

  • @Xolette Looks like your dad agrees aswell lol But they are both awesome for different reasons =D

  • @kongakonga Very true and very wise :)

  • face it you didnt get a BETTER car u got a car more tailored to your needs :)

you can make alot of ppl angry saying scoobies (Subarus) are bad cause they are probably the best cars you can get all around (cost to own, mpg, power to weight ratio, saftey ratings)

i would think about subaru again once the XB stops doin it for you.

  • @MrMcswiggens Better is subjective. What makes a car better depends on your definition of what better would be. I think a "better" car is a car that is tailored to your needs. If your needs are to go fast and be maneuverable, then sure, Subaru is better. If your needs is a car to take you places, carry a lot of luggage, and is inexpensive maintenance-wise, then the Scion beats the Subaru. In no way did I say Subarus bad, but after having my car for year, I prefer the Scion over a WRX.

  • @MrMcswiggens Btw, the WRX and the Scion fare pretty much the same in terms of safety.

  • pah if u ever say a scion is BETTER than a wrx again i WILL shit on you they may LOOK cooler but wrx will outperform ANY scion in production su-XB-alls.

SOOOO say it looks cooler not IS better SIllyy girl.....

  • That is an awesome scion! Scion had some impressive equipment on there vehicles.

What year does your dad drives? I guess he is old fashion on vehicles, I like them too but to expensive to find parts for them.

  • 0:14-0:42 - Whoa! You drive way too fast!

  • Phoenix....nice!

  • xB's such a nice car in my opinion, and it's awesome that you got a manual =)

  • @FRANKORILLA Thanks! I love it. It's surprisingly difficult to find cars in manual though

  • wise choice enjoy

  • ur dad is one of the funiest and mist honest guys ive seen! i think he could go viral! lol

  • @elsami777 I think so too :) I should post more videos of him

  • @Xolette It's all good, I'm not trying to tell you what to drive. It just seemed like a silly trade in my eyes. They may have the same roll over rating but, I'd be willing to bet I could roll the scion easier, as it more top-heavy. If 93 octane is recommended, I apologize for correcting you. The brochure/spec-book I received from the dealership said nothing of this and 93 isn't even available in my state. Anyway, enjoy your new car and have a nice day :)

  • Dad FTW! lol

  • Btw... a wrx is not a sports car. Sports cars only have 2 seats.

  • @awdflat4 You're correct. The WRX is marketed as a sports sedan. Performance-wise, it's supposed to give you the sports car feel.

  • @awdflat4 have you heard of a M5 or RS4?

  • @awdflat4 hahahahaha a sports car HAS to be a COUPE? whaat? so a cts-v isnt a sports car? hahahahaha

ANY CAR can be a sports car if its made to move quick FOOL

  • @MrMcswiggens Ha ha, yourself... The definition of a sports car is a two doors+two seats. It doesn't matter how fast it is. A Smart Car is a sports car, the CTS-V is not, FOOL.

  • @awdflat4 a smart car is not a sports car. a sports car is defined by the way it drives to me not by doors or seats although the two door two seat is my favorite lol.

  • Sometimes, you should listen to your father. Also, I would have to disagree with almost everything you said. I would consider the wrx a far safer vehicle. Although crash test ratings are similar, the wrx has better accident avoidance(acceleration, braking, maneuverability)+ better traction on any surface and is less likely to roll. The wrx has far greater power while achieving about the same gas mileage. I get 27mpg while driving very aggressively. Btw, the sti doesn't require 93oct., only 91.

  • @awdflat4 I would agree that they hare similar crash test ratings-- but, the WRX can only be deemed safer car depending on the driver. Insurance companies don't see it in the way you described. How many times have you seen a person driving a fast car recklessly? As for rolling over, the 2010 version of my car gets 4 starts on the NHSTA's roll over rating-- in which '07 WRX has the same rating. The 93 octane is recommended for the STI-- but I'll remove that from my description.

  • @awdflat4 ACTUALLY

the STI is tuned for 93 octane but since no one sells 93 you use 91 and maybe some octane booster if u wanna get all the power out of it

  • Your father is a funny guy.

  • Hahahaha. I'm with you Dad. Your fathers' expression...priceless! No but seriously I'm just hating cuz you dumped your subi. I'm on my second one as of now. I had an 03 wrx, now I have an 05 STi. Enjoy the "Breadbox".

  • @xSTIguyx Yeah, I can't believe it. A subi for a Scion!? D: Even the WRX is sick as fuck if you can't get an STI. I woulda kept it....

  • haters cant even own a luch box.. so stfu!!!

  • I Love U dd ..." whatever"

  • you traded a wrx for a cheap scion?? what were you thinking?? a subaru is 10 times more reliable than a scion will ever be.my 2003 wrx has never given me any problems at all 7 years later.that cheap crap will fall apart sooner or later.remember this saying, "you get what you pay for!"

  • @ironmandingo1 Shut up! Scion is a hell of a lot more reliable than you think! I own one, and I just so happen to love it. Subarus cost too much and they're harder to find parts for if something goes wrong with it! If you wanna trash talk a car, go trash talk a ford or a chevy... Not these beaautiful peices of machinery!

  • weak!! I shoulda gave me that wrx

  • I would have stayed with the wrx, have an evo 9 but wouldn't mind having a wrx

  • Haha... I like your dad's response. He seems really cool.

    Thumbs up.

  • booooooooooooo

  • only a woman would trade in a boosted wrx and get a xb. and i drive a scion tc lol

  • your father hated it hahaha its really nice. i like it a lot.

  • Cars are a personal thing for most people, you get what you want and you don't have to justify it to anybody

  • At least she doesn't have to pay premium and here the 60/40 split rear seats.

  • Wtf??? A Honda for a WRX??? You're crazy??? WRX 1000 times better than lauch box honda!

  • @sergiogustavo13 Scion is a Toyota, not a Honda. I have had both a Scion and Subaru and the Scion's practical and less expensive gas/maintenance/and insurance-wise. Subaru has great horsepower and acceleration, but I don't need it for the driving I do. Until you had both cars to make an accurate judgement, let me know what you think.

  • @sergiogustavo13 dude , i just sold my boxster s and keep my 09 fit , if ur not using the full potential i think it's better to drive something useful than something u can't really use it , i live 4 miles from work my darn boxster s is hurting my feeling , all power but no use and i work 7 days a week , yeah i know.. =(

  • Wow, how does it feel to of had the choicest of meat, and now eating frozen food? Why would you trade your wrx?!?! Scion is terrible, it literally can't do anything, it doesn't even have that much better mpg...Scion would be good if they could compete with Ford and Mazda's mpg. But they can't...

  • Just ordered 1. Should be getting it tomorrow. Can't wait!

  • @efp722 Great!!

  • Thanks I'll take your word for it being that you've owned a wrx, my wife is pregnate and we could use a car with lots of room & there aren't many cars that offer a manual for that price.... thanks & goodluck with your toaster lol :)

  • @MrSemi009 Congrats on the pregnancy-- the car definitely has lots of room (with seats folded down especially) and is rated very safe if you were to get in an accident. Good luck with your car search. Btw, you may want to call ahead at a dealership and ask if they have a manual in the color you want. Those seem hard to come by-- I find that dealerships seem to stock up on automatics and have less manuals available.

  • How's the clutch feel? I'm thinking about getting an xb

  • @MrSemi009 Feels fine. It has a decent amount of power. My boyfriend has a sports car and he has no complaints. We both definitely love the xB-- easy to haul a lot of cargo and great for long car trips.

  • Wow, a manual? Nice!

  • @JrgrimWoW When I was car shopping, manual was hard to find in Honda Fits and Scions. It's a shame!

  • I'm getting my 2011 army rock metallic xB in a week :) just like you I'm switching from a Subaru except mine is the 04 wrx sti

have you taken your xB to any long trips yet? my only gripe is the non reclinable backseats and theres no option for a oem sunroof

I like your very non technical review and your dads hilarious haha just like my dad
