I see what you are saying. But it could be her example was weak. A stronghold (negative, that is) by way of example, should be a more negative occurance. For example: If the parent shoved the child away, when the child was expressing affection....type thing.

I disagree with the conclusion of the man reading his newpaper and the little boy. If a parent goes so far as to make their child 2nd fiddle to most everything in their relationship, that would be a problem. Stronghold. However, even as a child I understood my parents had things they needed and wanted to do that took prioity over me many times during their day. Putting down the newspaper each time little Johnny shows up could create a worse problem...putting the child on a pedestal.

@jackirae1 I think what she is saying is that is the perception of the child ceating a neuro pathway in the brain to associate the action and the emotion the child felt she wasnt saying thats how all children would feel if that happened she was using it as an example of how strongholds and habits of thought are implimented in us through situations that have happened through our entire life and what our responsilibty is are we accepting the habits of thought the lies of satan or not.

This makes a lot of sense. I like that they explain it plainly. The enemy is sneaky, slick, smart, and has been around for thousands of years. We need to know our enemy and his tactics.
