  • Originally on Vocalion 4785; the flip side, You're So Desirable, has a Terry Allen vocal (recorded 27 FEB 1939).

According to the MB Mosaic box set, the metal part dates Three Little Fishes, however, as being cut on 11 APR 1939 (New York). Three other sides, tho w/o Mrs. Swing vocals, were also made at the session.

I recall a Three’s Company episode with ‘Tom’, Janet’s psychologist date, having trouble recalling these song lines. :I:

  • This is the first time I've heard this recording of Mildreds. I though I knew them all, but live and learn. She is the best!

  • I have never really dug Mildred, after reading a history of the big band era that said she was something of a Diva, but I am beginning to like her singing. Good for me. For a really interesting version of Fishees check out the version by the Ramblers, sung in Dutch

  • Great presentation as always

  • @pax41 Thanks Bob! I usually concentrate on the 1915-1930 period but I made an exception for this one.

  • Thanks One of my favorite singers especially with Red Norvo
