@alyl603 haha, thanks.. but in all fairness, I would understand why someone would do that. I made this way back before E2 existed. Back then, this was a fairly challenging contraption to make. Now with e2 and all it's fancy targeting features built in, it's extremely simple to make something like this.

@alyl603 E2 is extremely easy, read some tutorials on wiremod.com, take your time, and learn one step at a time.  Once you get the basic process understood (how to interact with the inputs and outputs via code), the rest is simple. And of course, you can always ask questions on the forums if you get stuck.

There was two reasons for that. Since I made this a year ago before Expression2 came out, I had to use a target finder.. and I needed the tube to shoot the melon away so the robot would target new melons instead of the melon it just picked up.

Reason 2: This was supposed to be a bigger project, where the melons were dropped into a delivery truck and unloaded. Then the truck comes back to pick up more melons.. all automated. Just never finished it.

Yeah, I originally had it made to where the two arms had tires attached and they would sort of cup the melon when they picked it up. But I couldn't get it to hold the melons tight enough for transport. So at that point I had the tires cup the melon then weld latch to each other and it still didn't hold it tight enough. I said forget it and just put grabbers on instead. Oh well. :) At least the arms still open and close on the melons.

You should make a robot that harvests weapons that have been dropped or spawned and collects them, or one that harvests the melon and has a launcher on its back and fires it at people!
