As much as I like Huntsman, he will not be picked by Romney for VP. They are both Mormans and are both perceived as being moderates. More likely he could be chosen for Sec. of State if Romney is elected. If Obama is re-elected, Huntsman should be set up a little better for 2016 and would have a decent chance.
did you notice J. Cuntsman said that Palin would have done great as a vice pres but he didn't even know what her economic, tax, or foreign policies were. What a jackass.
I have to admit, my wife & I are pretty damn liberal but I really don't mind Huntsman. OK, there are some typical Republican lines he is holding to but at least this guy is a well educated, experienced guy, who doesn't come over as a polarizing voice. I could see this guy in the White House. Hopefully more Republicans recognize him.
Less government spending, less taxation to American Citizens, a budget plan that works.
This man has been fighting for your personal freedom and the separation of congress from big business for years. He stands against draconian bills like SOPA, NDAA and the Patriot Act.
He has fought against the war on drugs, the foreign wars, the federal reserve, and corporate bail outs.
@tdp1909 polygamy was legal? shit i was only speculating it might be. Huntsman too works for Israel. the very people who caused 911 and war on terror so to speak. not trustworthy.
@concussedcarneous Hmm - better than Romney. The impression I get of Huntsman is that he's a Jack Mormon as, if he had any interesting opinions, he'd be leading in the polls...
Regarding "Huntsman not connecting", I find that his language is too technical to reach the average guy. This is not a criticism really, but rather an observation. When Huntsman conducts an interview he speaks to the listener in a way he would speak to someone at his level. Someone informed. The problem is that the public is not informed and urges for rhetoric that it can easily grasp. Huntsman doesn't provide this. He's a good man, but what the republicans need is someone like Christie.
Huntsman @1:27 says that we must have a commander in chief who understands the world we live in. My question to you Huntsman, do you understand the idea of blowback, and that US foreign policy in the Middle East over the past couple of decades has been way more destructive to stabilization in that region? The CIA has talked about how 9/11 was a result of US intervention in the region, yet you seeem to avoid discussing the issue.
you can never trust a mormon just like you can't trust a scientologist and you would question an amish if he were running. they're crazy cultists who don't give a shit about the rest of the country.
@john1gun Robert E. Lee was a Episopalian....Look at him, he betrayed his country he chose his state over his country than rather looking at the bigger picture which is the honor and oath one has to their country instead he chose his state in the Civil War and defended the South and lead the Confederate forces. He was a traitor and an Episcopalian so....
@FinalLugiaGuardian he was for mandating healthcare before he was for banning it. he was for Obama's extension of war before he was against it before he was for it. he was indeed for everything he said he wouldn't be up for before he was for it.
@concussedcarneous Okay, on the topic of him being for a healthcare mandate, that was part of the discussion in he had in his state. If you look at the law he purposed to the legislature eventually signed, it was a market based system, not a mandate. On the topic of extension of the war, I have seen nothing except him saying something along the lines of bring the troops home they have done all they can in the Middle East. Please give me a recording or a video of him saying the opposite.
It seems like Gregory doesn't really like him; he kind of menacingly drills him with questions. I personally like Huntsman. He's well spoken and a motorcycle enthusiast, so he's got my vote.
I think it would have been perfectly acceptable for Huntsman to say. "No. Herman Cain isn't qualified. He doesn't know what he's talking about. I am."
@TVwatcha01 Im an Obama supporter but if Obama is gonna lose in 2012, I'd rather he lose to Huntsman than any other Republican, the rest of whom are all nutjobs.
@jerzy862: I've actually changed stances since that post. I've recently learned he supported Ryan Paul's bill that would end SS, which is a big no no. And he's recently sort of flip flopped on his statements of believing in global warming saying "scientists haven't told us enough about it", in a very Romney esque way. Frankly, with Obama not having a spine anymore, I'll still vote for him with a level of disappointment. Then Gary Johnson (first choice rep), then huntsman.
