Actually i thought she was pretty good! Everyone is saying she was off timing and everything but she had a good presence and was controlled... and its not like she ended early or late or anything! She just held everything for that extra 1/2 count!

i dont see any esmeralda here. nor any soulful dancer. ballet its progressing towards a exagereted care about technique and flexibility. Not that these things aren't important. of course they are. but I rather see a dancer that moves her feet with her heart and that delivers herself to the character than one pretty music box ballerina that stretches her feet a thousand miles high as if nothing else mattered.

@JordiSavall1 Finally someone who understands! I wish more people in the 'ballet world' would realize this. I miss how ballet was back in like the 20th century. With legends such as Alicia Alonso and Maya Plisetskay.

I hope that people will begin to understand this.

And she does follow the music correctly. She just doesn't follow the music as 70% of the dancers are used to. But it's ok. She followed all of my expectations.

It seems as though she's having a bit of trouble with her feet in the beginning with the echappés and with the bourres/arabesques somewhere in the middle of the video. Maybe that's one of the reasons it looks so off?

The artistic score was 9.0, I believe. This video missed her first powerful walk onto the stage. For me, her character showed in her direct looks into the audience as she danced. It was impressive.
