Gotta say I like the look and sound of these Fords. Can you tell me what the purpose of the mud ditches is for? With this much power, these trucks are ready to burn up truck pull hard dirt, pavement,and whatever else. The good thing I can see is that the tires last well in the mud. ...just costs fuel, and that's about it.

I will tell ya what, all: I had a Samurai 4X4, with 33" tires and 6" of lift, and that thing would go places that my Chevy truck with 35" tires and 6" of wished it could. The damn thing was so underpowered that it wouldn't barely spin the tires on dirt. I kick myself everyday for selling it!

Also, I am not a Ford-man, but that '79 is one that I would own. Nice the way that you have it setup; plus, who could say no to "any" bigblock!

that motors got enough power, get some shaved swamper boggers and loose more weight and it will skim across the top of the mud. I know a guy who has a peterbilt semi body on a truck frame with a 500+ cubic inch motor and it skims right over the top. Bet it could just about ride on water.

I run a C6 trans, TCS converter, B&M shift kit etc. With a huge cooler on it, haven't had much for problems so far but we'll see what the new motor does to it. I could record installs or whatever, but its kinda tough to hold the parts, the wrench and the camera all at once LOL.
