good grieve guys you never landed in the middle of a blizzard because you have to get a patient and the wind is so strong that you think the plane will flip upside down!
@NHRHS2010 They seem to be awesome pilots! I was scared to death but they were very calm! Most everyone spoke english to us so I not really sure what there main language is!
@woodcutin101 They do indeed seem experienced. Maybe they could someday be as famous as Chesley Sullenberger. In southern Quebec most people speak French.
I was once on a Twin Otter, cold, dark, late November rain storm in Northern Ontario. One passenger was throwing up in a bag. We got tossed around quit a bit but made it safely. What I don't undertand in this video is, the engine trottle seems to be going up and down! Is this the just the wind or deliberate manover by the pilot?
The power changes were not just from me, but also from the extreme gusts. Winds that day were 35 gusting 45 with moderate turbulence all the way to the ground. Cross wind was about 60-80 degrees from center line and very intense up and down drafts. I had to modulate the power in order to get it down, and to stop from stalling or over speeding the flap speed during the approach.
Yea, that's right, I think she was almost as nervous as you guys! I saw the other video when you posted it, but I didn't notice this one, both are great videos. Thanks for posting them!
I didn't sleep much the night be4 listening the wind knowing I had to get on a plane the next day! It was a thrill of a life time that I will never forget. As scared as I was I would do it again. Hey thanks for getting us on the ground safely!! lol
