I'm really upset about this, partially b/c my mother identified with him, as they both battled brain tumors. Ted was above all else a hard-working, idealistic man who made great strides in American politics while overcoming intense family tragedies. Like most Kennedys, his personal problems overshadowed his political genius and genuine warmth at times, but could never truly cover it. I hope the remaining 99 senators preserve his legacy throughout this session. Rest in peace, Ted, liberal lion.
