The "Christian" fundamentalism which seems to be running rampant in this country (and which would reject the message this movie brings) must be brought to task -- otherwise, we are as doomed as anyone else subjected to a totalitarianism.
Barry Pepper is one of the best actors on the planet, and the time will come when the whole world will know that. I have just seen The Snow Walkers, and was blown away by its emotional power. The three principal actors, Barry, James Cromwell and rookie, Annabella Piuggatuk, were simply wonderful. Barry, though, is central to the films success as his brash cynicism gives way to a profound, if unspoken, love for an Inuit girl afflicted with TB. Boy, they make great films in Canada.

I don't think those channels think that the American Public can relate to this film. Sure it's a great film but it's a gamble when ratings are at risk. Sure we need to learn tolerance but you forget that most people in America are intolerant mostly because of Christianity and as long as this country remains a Christian majority films like this will stigmatized. It's sad but it's reality.

Yes he was great in this movie, he's an incredibly talented actor, so therefore he is my favorite actor. Hell, even his voice acting was the whole reason I bought the game Prototype! It's a shame with all the talentless actors/actresses getting put in movies, his skills seem to go under the radar. Hopefully he'll be Oscar nominated for True Grit or Casino Jack coming out later this year.
I must confess: never seen this great ACTOR before!! In my opinion in this movies he is something unbelievable strong, serious, cold and SOB as much as the part required.

I watched Saving Private Ryan just now. Barry Pepper is amazing--as an actor and looks-wise, so uniquely handsome, ooooh!
