Games were better. This Romero's Resident Evil script, only with 98percent less Resident Evil.

Carlos doesn't look like Carlos, and Claire looks too old to be Claire. Shoud've followed the game instead of making a fancy fanfic.

Then The production company got involved and wanted to change things and make them flashy (such as adding that annoying AI) and more action instead of horror, and make the characters more supernatural so they added new characters altogether. The original writers left so the company hired new writers who would listen to them and thats how we have this shitty movie franchise with little relation to the actual game

This is a decent action adventure movie, but it's not what Resident Evil is based off of. It should have been a HORROR and GORE movie with zombies and monsters! I'm happy at least the new Aliens vs Predator movie is finally sticking to it's graphic comic roots! (It very gorey and violent!)

No it's mainly interference by sponsers and the production company. In the first movie they actually got writers and John Ramero to write a script that followed the game story, Chris, Jill Valentine, S.T.A.R.S., wesker, Birkin the mansion being isolated with a small lab under it not a fucking corperation.
