Is it Mark's # 10 backbore, or his # X10 backbore? I ask because on his website, he lists the # X10 as the BB for his Star,DE, ZM, and 600 series cups (his commercial cups) and you had mentioned previously that your backbore was Mark's commercial backbore. Thanks for your time!
You are correct it is marked X 28. Made for me in 1999 when I was out with Anka. I loved the sound of that back bore so much that I scavenged it from the piece Mark made for me and have used it on different cups for the last 12 years. the only markings are "X 28" it has a slight weighted taper to the shank. Hopes this helps....
Ah, I think you can disregard my question: It's the Kanstul Mt Vernon 3C top on the Curry commercial BB you described on the Schilke B3 clip when I asked you about it there 6 months ago.
I had remember the Mt Vernon 3C part of your answer but forgot about the Curry Backbore part of the answer. Blame it on too many high notes, old age or a combination of both...
Nice horn Steve. Not to be a nerd, but I don't recognise that mouthpiece blank. What brand and size mouthpiece did you use on this clip? (As usual, you sound great).
Steve isn't the Benge 3xp the model trumpet that Herb Albert plays?
