guys, in LOTRO there is a setting for it... called Auto-move to target. im trying to see a few reviews before i go back to LOTRO and its frustrating because 90% of them that ive seen have been negative... and only because the reviewer has not explored through the settings menu.

I agree with some of the things you mentioned about LOTRO, but i imagine it's quite difficult to render an entirely new form of MMO without using some of the same features WoW brought forth. I mean, i'm quite certain WoW developers didn't come up with the idea of Orcs and elves either and i definately say that LOTR lore is MUCH better than Warcraft's (i have played strategy games of Warcraft). Turbine has brought forth new things like Legendary weapons and they have more expansions to come.
lotro is a lot better after mines of moria. i played wow a lot but i liked playing togheter with aragorn and gandalf and such. and the fact you can have an own house to customise is relly cool. and the best thing is that main line quests go in a private instance with party where they unfold story as speech not a big text log
Monkey island 3 is the best,.. its in high resolution sprites its fun and funniest Monkey island ever,.. there are some hard/strange puzles,.. but you laugh your arse of when you solve them,.. the game isfunny from start to finish,..

Actually Warcraft has a good amount of back story to it. Most of it is from Warcraft 3, though. I do agree that lord of the rings has more. And there are some points in wow where an area is changed after doing a quest, but it is instanced so that players who haven't done the quest yet can't see what you can.

I just wanted to point out somthing. not that it will do much now but in the options their is a setting where you can set it to atomaticly move to attacing atrget or somthign like that. but this can be dangeres as well like lets say you target is on the other side of a poisonis river and you have that setting on you are going to walk right into the river and die. iv seen it happen. anyway i just wanted to point that out
I was expecting the same thing of the monster play in LOTRO. There are monsters not controlled by players though, but not of the types you can be so you know whether they are human or not.

I dont think you guys gave Lord of the Rings online any justice. First off you only played for a like a week. you cant get a true feel of a game in that amount of time. Their are so many more quests then you can posibly imagin. Killing quests colecting quests, kill and collect quests, expleration, Fellowship quests and many more. I cant say much about WoW excepte that it looks realy cartoony. Not only are there quets but there are Deeds you can do for traits that instrese your stats
(sry for the repose, ran out of room) and last mut defetly no least they are coming out with the first expanction. The Mines of Moria. that will increse the lvl cap form lvl 50-lvl 60 add two new classes, and add a legindary system where you can cusomize and lvl your vary own sword or axe like Frodos Sting. I think you guys need ot revise this and give this game a proper review before you disard it so lightly

Lol, yah. Monkey island was definitely a bad-ass game. I havn't played in a couple of years also though. When I had gotten a newer computer, Monkey Island wouldn't work on it, and the old computer i used to play it was broken, and so therefore it ended up in the trash.
By the way Tobin, the other game was Gradius if I'm not mistaken. Only, it was a bit in reverse. Any time you typed the code in, your ship blew up. The devs thought it was funny.... ha ha.

You don't get "popin" if you max out the graphics settings. As far as quests.. EVERY online game marks quest characters... Also, it doesn't take long to get to level 10 if you do quests. I'm on day 4 and am level 15, and I don't play more then 4 hours a day. If they aren't even level 10, then they haven't done any of the storyline quests, which, to me, is the best part of the game. I give this review two thumbs down.
Lvl Cap in LotRO is 50 and in WoW its 70, so obviously it will take longer to get to lvl 10, but if you like teh game its pretty easy. I have a lvl 30 elven hunter in LotRO and lvl 60 NE Hunter in WoW. Lol. I WANT THE F-ING Character to move when I 2x click on it!!! hahah
I think if you guys had more time to play youd enjoy it more. I myself like the story content, and quest lines more than wow. But then again i played wow for over 2 years, i just cant take the grind anymore. Lord of the rings is my sweet release, sorry to say but wow has seen the last of me.

I dont think you guys gave Lord of the Rings online any justice. First off you only played for a like a week. you cant get a true feel of a game in that amount of time. Their are so many more quests then you can posibly imagin. Killing quests colecting quests, kill and collect quests, expleration, Fellowship quests and many more. I cant say much about WoW excepte that it looks realy cartoony. Not only are there quets but there are Deeds you can do for traits that instrese your stats

(sry for the repose, ran out of room) and last mut defetly no least they are coming out with the first expanction. The Mines of Moria. that will increse the lvl cap form lvl 50-lvl 60 add two new classes, and add a legindary system where you can cusomize and lvl your vary own sword or axe like Frodos Sting. I think you guys need ot revise this and give this game a proper review before you disard it so lightly

Nothing like fan-boys who assume their opinion is fact. I suppose you guys have never heard of any of the MMORPG games that came before WoW which it copied off of? Ultima online and Everquest seem like a few good examples.

I at some point agree because the quests go to more combat in higher levels and more you level game gets better and better. NooBToob are saying what they experienced which is right to do. Nothing wrong about it. I am dispointed because they kept comparing it with WoW. FOR ALL THE PPL WHO ARE HAVING TROUBLE CHOOSING MMO BETWEEN WoW and LOTRO, don't listen NoobToob experience, you have to try it out yourselves! I have played WoW and LOTRO. I left WoW for LOTRO and now i think LOTRO is much better.

Lol, yah. Monkey island was definitely a bad-ass game. I havn't played in a couple of years also though. When I had gotten a newer computer, Monkey Island wouldn't work on it, and the old computer i used to play it was broken, and so therefore it ended up in the trash.

By the way Tobin, the other game was Gradius if I'm not mistaken. Only, it was a bit in reverse. Any time you typed the code in, your ship blew up. The devs thought it was funny.... ha ha.

dude. I love you guys. But you hasve totally misuderstood the entire entity off WoW. For one you did not inculde what the entire game is based on its based on years and years of fiction. I love LOTRO its amazing. Also the reason it tells you your not facing a target is because whats the point in it doing it for you. You should be able to do everything your paying so why not :). Thanks for the video but thats my own opinion each to the own but i love you guys

just few things about lotro i have played wow for 2 years had 2 70's and stuff and when i tryed lotro it looked stupid but after lvl 10 is soooooo fun instances and all kind of things you shoud tryed it again cuz you ger 14 days and i dont understand how did you manage get only lvl 7 when i get 17 in 2 days

Something i think you guys are missing is that WoW is very far from original so it's not like Lotro is stealing from WoW. WoW stole ALOT. I think game developers know what makes an MMO fun and what people are use to. Of course things are going to be simliar.

The Story is what sets Lotro apart from all the others, I have played Wow and I like lotro tons better, I have friends who play wow and I let them play for a bit, at first they said "this is WOW in a nutshell" then after level 8 (in a few hours) they were like "hey this game is good, I might get it"

well i quit wow for lotro because on wow the fighting is shoddy its to slow it takes to long to attack and the moves i mean they hardly move whereas on lotro your character will jump take a step back move his feet when he/she strikes. Though the mages on wow are alot beeter desinged and the spells are much cooler than the ones on lotro

You don't get "popin" if you max out the graphics settings. As far as quests.. EVERY online game marks quest characters... Also, it doesn't take long to get to level 10 if you do quests. I'm on day 4 and am level 15, and I don't play more then 4 hours a day. If they aren't even level 10, then they haven't done any of the storyline quests, which, to me, is the best part of the game. I give this review two thumbs down.

Lvl Cap in LotRO is 50 and in WoW its 70, so obviously it will take longer to get to lvl 10, but if you like teh game its pretty easy. I have a lvl 30 elven hunter in LotRO and lvl 60 NE Hunter in WoW. Lol. I WANT THE F-ING Character to move when I 2x click on it!!! hahah

I think if you guys had more time to play youd enjoy it more. I myself like the story content, and quest lines more than wow. But then again i played wow for over 2 years, i just cant take the grind anymore. Lord of the rings is my sweet release, sorry to say but wow has seen the last of me.
