Yeah i understand it completely so,

theres a disturbance in the force and yoda seeks to find the sorce,

he goes and battles with Starkiller,

and uses the jedi mind trick to confuse him,

and then he has him stunned and makes himself look like him with the jedi mind trick,

then darth vader knows its him and turns him back

and they start fighting and somehow Starkiller uses his powers to end it.

@Izuan1995 in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy you can control the dark side and still be a jedi. At the beginning when you learn about the force, your master Kyle Katarn tells you that the force is neither inherently good or evil, it's how you use it. Although yes lightning is normally thought of as a dark side power.

He was referring to both. Yeah, I like to redo that ending someday. When I initially made this film I had a few more extra scenes but ended up cutting them due to Youtube's time limit. Perhaps later when I have time, I'll redo it but too busy right now with other projects.

Shadows of the Empire was a novel and game set in between episode 5 and 6, aka in between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. it had it's own soundtrack and toy line, and the guy who made this vid used some of the music from said soundtrack.

I just prefer the original trilogy era than the old republic, even the clone wars is too far back for my tastes though I don't mind clone war equipment and such being in an original trilogy era setting, as long as it's low level stuff, (so TIE Fighters outperforming Jedi Starfighters and so forth) though Acclamators are still nice for what they do, even by Original trilogy standards, big ol' dropship with 16,000 troops and about 100 or so vehicles give or take.

ohhh and what kinda capture card did you use? Quality is tite...

I used a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card to capture the original master using a realtime HD codec - Cineform. Despite being a very expensive codec, it's indistinguishable to uncompressed HD and takes up less than a 1/3 of space vs whats required for uncompressed HD. The above HD version was encoded in h264 (as was SD version) for web streaming which is OK but pales in comparison to the original master on my big screen HDTV.

Making a short film from SCIV can be a bit tricky at first (not as easy as say Halo 3) since you got 7-8 sec max of replay time in training mode. It loops however so you can use the camera however which way you want to film it. It's time consuming in the sense that you'll be re-filming - "re-enacting" the same scene because of this limitation. Getting rid of "replay" and other text is matter of masking it in post production either thru Premiere, After Effects or whatever NLE you use.

I figured not everyone has the proper setup to playback HD (either ISP speed or computer specs). Thats why I included the standard definition version above also. Also, I notice sometimes after hitting "Watch in HD" you may have to slide the progress slider all the way back to the beginning to have it play smoothly. For some reason, at least on my end, it has a jerky playback when I switch to HD while it already started playing. Sliding it back to the beginning fixes it.

Also here's a tip if you're on lower speed connection or experiencing a lot of interruption becaue of buffering delay, try hitting pause and letting the video load up some distance (red progress bar) then hit play.
