I was shocked as soon as I heard the first note. I've never heard this version of the song before(if I have, then I must have been very young at the time, otherwise I would have remembered) Hearing this song and seeing the pictures took me back to the times I visited the philippines as a child, and made me realise how much I long to return. I'm half filipino, but my dad taught me to be proud of where I come from and to love my country, even though I live in the uk. I am a caviteno.

Around Sep. 2010, I unexpectedly heard this song being played in a Japanese restaurant here in a small Canadian city where we live. I felt great as a Filipino who understand and feel deeply the message of the song. The restaurant attendant did not know how his boss got this song but he was sure he love to listen to it.

Who would want to go to Cebu for an holiday? I went for Xmas and New Year! It was awful! On the contrary, only 8 million Filipinos reside overseas and that figure includes kids and retired senior citizens who most likely aren't working. And were it not for our ability to speak English, the figures would've been far lower since most employers in other countries prefer someone they can communicate with. The vast majority of our countrymen are still in our homeland and not all of them necessarily cherish the idea of leaving no matter how bad it is over there.

Around Sep. 2010, I unexpectedly heard this song being played in a Japanese restaurant here in a small Canadian city where we live. I felt great as a Filipino who understand and feel deeply the message of the song. The restaurant attendant did not know how his boss got this song but he was sure he love to listen to it.

Whoever wrote this song doesn't know what hes talking about. Most filipinos are working overseas. Going back working for their colonial masters and the arebs, like dogs. If they have an enemy it's their fellow filipinos who cannot provide shit ,not the foreigners. It's a hard pill to swallow. Life is only tough if youre stupid.

Who would want to go to Cebu for an holiday? I went for Xmas and New Year! It was awful! No proper sanitation nor hygiene, unbearable boiling hot weather, terrible food, armed police and beggars everywhere. people ripping you off everywhere you go, people talking cebuano sounded llike dogs barking (the primitive language is so nasal and guttural, if you can call it language!). Believe you me, if you value your health and your state of mind, DON"T GO TO THE FILTHY PHILIPPINES FOR AN HOLIDAY.
