im have trouble with the demo. i downloaded the game on stream and it says its ready to play. i click on it then its about to load up and then it says Error : shader model 2 not supported anymore. can anyone tell me whats wrong

i got the demo and it lags a little bit on Default video settings, still fun but will it be a little better if i get the full game or will it lag the same way?

I think it lags just as much. The entire game is more refined though, less bugs and more work gone into it (Seeing as it's not a demo, but a full game)

I think im gonna have to get it for PS3 if it comes out for that, I know the PC version is pry much better but i have to turn the settings down to very low for it to run smoothly, and when i do that Arma 1 looks better anyway because i play with very high settings on that. i guess i'll stick with 1 for now, maybe i get better graphics card sometime.

that's if it comes out on ps3, though I know what you mean. Even my quad core 9800GTX+ system can't handle it on highest settings if there's a fight going on, though it's more than fine online as the CPU doesn't have to simulate all those troops.

it lags because ur graphics card cant handle it, meaning it will still lag whether u have the full game or not. in order to play it without lag u need to upgrade ur hardware.

If ur looking for a cheap graphics card that has good performance then ATI is for u, u can get either of the ATI radeon 4850 or 4870 easy for under $200.

Using the mouse, you have to switch control from directional movement, to just the movement of the players head. With this, you can freelook, while still being able to move around in the x axis

Because in arma 2 you move your head NOT where the gun aim, it means he can shoot foward and look to his side at the same time.

Play the game and you'll see why. Tracker IR is like having an extra mouse especially useful in a games like Arma or OF.
