  • It's not so strange that one could be both communist and fascist at the same time; They are not mutually exclusive. PoliticalCompass breaks apart the antiquated spectrum in to 2 dimensions. Fascist = Authoritative (control) is a social axis and Communist is leftist as an economic axis.

Not so extreme but, is advocating the government step in and regulate it more and punish Disney (the authoritative/fascist part of the spectrum) and sounds like she prefers the economic left (the communist side)

  • The woman in the video isn't saying Baby Einstein is bad or should be banned, she's saying it's not educational, which it isn't. She was filing a complaint against Disney to remove the 'educational' tags. She doesn't think Baby Einstein is bad for children. If babies enjoy it, sure, go for it, my nieces and nephews love it, parents just shouldn't believe it's educational - It's just entertainment for the babies.

  • My 6 mnth old baby loves baby Einstein vids and loves me pointing out what's in the video..it all depends on the parents involvement..liberals..what idiots

  • So, her point is that she can name call left and mostly right which in the end amounts to a factual point??? No regulations??? There are over 35,000 regulations on gun ownership, distribution, mfg and so on. This country does not like to regulate??? What planet is she living on?

  • All you have to do is watch one video with a critical eye. Just one. And you will see how it has absolutely zero educational value. I tried and tried to tell my wife this. All the videos do is keep babies entranced and quiet. They are a baby sitter that entertains allowing adults to believe it is ok to leave their child in front of the television screen.

I'm very glad to find out that I am not alone in being aware of this.

  • @Solarcoreg What exactly are your expectation? Babies are "educated" by only one thing - repetitive word association. When I watch a B.E. video, that's all I see. So what's the problem?

  • What a fascist communist she is

  • I am saddened by the vitriol in some of the responses to this video. It demonstrates just how vulnerable parents are, and therefore should be protected from false claims.

I am not a Disney hater: I raised my son watching Mary Poppins and loved it....but I watched with him danced with him.

Also, I teach creative dance to preschoolers and find that classical pieces, not "simplified" are even more effective with my students than Baby Einstein cds.

  • Part 2 comment:

the 18 month olds did have some reaction, but the six and twelve months old babies had NO reaction to scrambled videos or a video with the sound backwards.

  • part 1 comment

I chose this topic of the whole commercialization of childhood for my final research paper I'm writig for English because I ran across the documentary when I was writing my final paper for Advertising this summer and I became very interested and welcomed the excuse to learn more. I found a peer reviewed study and didn't save it. This psychologist tested chopped up Barney episodes on babies 6-12-18-24 months. Only the 24 month olds were disturbed.

  • The speaker is criticizing Baby Einstein by saying that its educational claims are not supported by research. I don't think she's slamming parents whose kids have watched it, or enjoy it. We as parents ought to absorb this as any other consumer-reports type information. Its like finding out the support for some weight loss product was all paid testimonial, or the vitamin C in orange juice is 1/60th of the C complex and so it's not as beneficial as a real orange. No point in being defensive.

  • I say we outlaw Christianity, put an end to their heresies including the CCFC, make them renounce their dead savior. If they refuse, they should be put to death by cutting their heads off and show their heads to the world as an example that we cannot tolerate their bible thumping heresy.

  • No ones ever gonna tell me How to raise my Child!!!! My baby loves BE. And i let him watch it since he was born. . i was surprised when i heard him singing one of Beethovens Sinfonies when he was only 11 MONTHS!!!! COME AND WATCH IT YOURSELVES..... I POSTED A VIDEO.

  • This is stupid, i have two little girls. Both of them i let them watch baby einstein before going to bed. Both of them are very smart they know there numbers, colors and could name animals very easy and they got it from watching baby einstein they picked up things easier when watching it.

  • @LilithDarkSoul I wonder if they know how to spell better than you.

  • If the videos could be proven to be educational then Disney would have proved their point. But what in fact happened is that they were challenged to show HOW they are educational and they couldn't.... they then removed any mention of the word "educational" from their marketing. If Disney had ANY WAY of showing their videos were educational then they would have done so. This shows us that Disney knew full well that they couldn't prove their claims and therefore had to retract them, simple as that

  • Now the world will be left with crappy fake cartoons for kids to watch u dumb b*****. I'd rather Einsteins than the Simpsons or any other damn TV shows. What the heck are they supposed to watch that's educational?

If you can do better then do it, stop trying to take others down...... H8EEEEERRR

  • This lady is an Idiot. Nuff said.

  • "false and deceptive" ?

this women is such a moron!

my 2 month old loves baby einstein, she loves watching the toys move around and it helps her eye development.besides I only let her watch for 15 minutes on rainy days,(we usually go outside) this women has nothing better to do than to waste peoples time! get a life lady!

if your concerned about kids watching tv, it's the parents fault, they should turn of the tv!

it's like suing Sesame street, and I learned alot from that show

  • As a mother of 4. My 1st child learned how to sign from the "Baby Wordsworth" DVD from Baby Einstein DVD. These ppl have nothing better to do?! Shame on them I am disgusted in people like these... SHAME!

  • As a mother of 4. My 1st child learned how to sign from the "Baby Wordsworth" DVD from Baby Einstein DVD. THese l have nothing better to do?! Shame on them for blowing that candle out to make theirs brighter. I am disgusted in people like these... SHAME!

  • how in any way is it "false and deceptive marketing"? obviously its not educational to you because you're not a BABY!!! my baby sister is an avid baby einstein watcher and she has learned a lot. there's "i know my shapes" "baby sign language" "animals". she knows her shapes, colors, some sign language, and all of her animals (and animal sounds). shes just wasting her time.

  • She blasts President Bush for referring to Julie Clark as a stellar entrepreneur. Clark invented Baby Einstein and produced it from her home with limited funding, less than 25 thousand dollars. Baby Einstein ultimately became a multi-million dollar enterprise and this broad doesnt like the accolade of great entrepreneur? Heres an accolade we can all live with. The dame in this video is a stellar idiot.

  • This woman is crazy! We should file a lawsuit against her. Ours schools use all of the things found in the Baby Einstein... We call them class. Math, English Music, reading, and Etc....... My 5 year old is in the second grade!! he had help from Baby Einstein, S.Street, Reading rainbow, and etc....! You can tell who has kids in this world and really love them.

  • The problem with Baby Einstein is that it is a structured, close-ended, computerized learning system, which is completely the opposite of how children should be learning at this age. As infantants, children need creative and open-ended play that has no definate structure or outcome. This is how critical thinking skills are developed. Ask any college professor and they'll tell you that critical thinking skills are getting worse among students, and it's because of things lie Baby Einstein.

  • She doesn't have enough to do. What a moron!!!! My daughter learned tons from Baby Einstein!

  • Id much rather my son have the baby einstein products including the dvd's instead of letting him watch sponge bob. but as an american im entitled to my opinion.

  • This old lady must just have nothing to do but get happy on causing problems for others. Or maybe she is jealous of the Baby Einstein/Disney company. I mean my son watches the dvd's occassionally.I try not to let him watch too much tv, because when he's older I dont want him to be a couch potato. All though I never saw anywhere on the product that it claimed to be educational I feel as a parent that is has educational potential.I have a lot of the books and other products by Baby Einstein.

  • This woman is a joke, a disgrace. The creators of baby Einstein had their hearts and thoughts in the right place, and my kids really like the disks, which then lead into little Einsteins. My son knew colors, animals, numbers, and was able to transition everything to the toys. This HAG is what is wrong with the world. Not to mention it is a false claim. There is no way we will return a single DVD with the offer that the baby Einstein creators, and in turn Disney, put out there. Sad to see

  • Wow! I couldn't even watch this whole video. It made me a little nauseous. This woman appears to be one of those people who just loves to complain. About the government, about capitalism, about the way our country works. No one is forcing people to go out and buy Baby Einstein videos. My son loved them when he was little. We sat down and watched them TOGETHER. I talked to him about the video while it was playing. It is only useful if you use it as tool and not as a babysitter.

  • I've never liked Baby Einstein. Today I heard some buzz about Baby Einstein videos and this Susan Linn woman. Googled her name and their name. Found this video and watched it.

What a waste of time. I so wasn't looking for political word-vomit. She probably has a terrific case against Baby Einstein. I probably agree with her position. But now I don't care.

I wish she would have stuck to the facts.

  • leave baby Einstein alone. Susan Linn seriously has nothing better to do in life, in my opinion, a non sense attack.

I, for one, think this IS educational, for us. Does it increase my child' intellect? I cannot say and I cannot tell. But does it teaches, does it offer fun family time for us. YES! I stand 100% behind Baby Einstein and please, Ms. Linn, there are lots companies out there, but let us - the parents, decide what is good for our children, because we know.

  • Well said, anglebaybeee. My son enjoys these videos and I sit next to him and imitate animal sounds and repeat the words that are taught. I dont sit him down and leave him to be babysat by a television as jenwlloyd apparently believes. My son has not seen farm animals before so when the program starts showing pictures of these animals, it is new for him, therefore educating him. This woman was jclearly ust bored with life and wanted to stir up ridiculous claims for excitement.

  • Wow, although I don't necessarily agree with all her arguments, I'm shocked by how many parents making comments are perfectly content to let their children sit and watch TV. Educational content aside, are you people serious? Why don't you try playing with your kids or engaging with them in meaningful interaction? Has our society really fallen to the point that we need this crap teaching our children? I can't imagine letting my son watch TV when there's so much we can do together.

  • Who is saying that we are not engaging with our children!? Speaking for myself, I DO engage on a daily basis with my 5 year old, and have done so since she has been born. These videos are a SUPPLEMENT to those interactions. You're missing the entire point-these videos ARE educational, and this lady is saying they are not. Most parents are smart enough to do a variety of activities with their kids, and no one is saying these videos are their only source of education for their kids. Think!

  • Can you say, "looking for something to argue about"? i mean, come on! really?? my daughter LOVES their movies!!! and that's all that really matters, right? she gets to see colors and animals and listen to music that she may not be able to if it weren't for their movies! wow, this lady needs some help. honestly! sigh...

  • You are a joke. . . Have you ever watched these videos? My kids LOVED them! They learned their colors before the age of 2. The music, the imagery, the simple lessons are great examples of learning. Putting politics in this argument is absurd. You are a joke.

  • This lady is an idiot!! Dawn0620 is right. I just bought animal flash cards for my 18 month old daughter and by golly Susan Linn, she's learning about animals from a so called "non-educational" Baby Einstein item. I pray this woman did not reproduce!

  • Not only does Baby Einstein carry videos, but toys, books, and other items aimed at stimulating babies' brains. They are not just about videos!!! Anything you do with a baby to introduce them to the world is EDUCATION. Just because I take my child to the park, and it is not labeled as "educational", doesn't mean that my child can't learn something from it! Find something else to complain about, and quit trying to save the world with information you know nothing about! Disney did not lie!!!

  • Listen lady, I don't need you to decide what is & isn't considered "educational" for my children. Thanks for assuming that all parents are idiots & lemmings and can't choose ENTERTAINMENT for their kids without your help. You must be real full of yourself.

  • I can't believe this woman! Who the hell is she to say what I can and can't use to entertain my child?! My 2 year old loves Baby Einstein and has LEARNED from it! He has learned several words and even the sign language for those words. Anything can be "educational" for toddlers & young kids, they are contsantly learning from the world around them. It's up to parents to decide what to let their kids watch.

  • I am a teacher (early childhood) with a four year old daughter. Since she was little, I used Baby Einstein with my child (and did not just set her in front of the TV and walk away). I found the videos very educational (colors, shapes, words, languages, music, numbers....should I go on???). That IS education for small children, and she learned so much from them (and my conversations with her about them). This lady needs to back off and let parents be parents. Don't try and run other's lives.

  • How can they not be considered educational? The definition of educate in its verb form is "to provide with information". The Baby Einstein products that I am familiar with provide my baby with information, as it shows her things that she normally would not see or hear. That isn't eduacational???? It may be a conterversial WAY to educate but none the less educates!

  • She is ridiculous! Anyone who thinks you can just place a baby in front of the TV and not do anything one on one is being foolish. That said, the video's are educational for a BABY! ...she got her way, they removed the educational label but she kept going!!! I really think this is more about Susan Linn's ego at this point .

Let's not give this frivolous nonsense anymore credence!

    STOP THIS INSANITY!

  • The reason Disney couldn't produce evidence that Baby Einstein is educational is because Baby Einstein has NEVER made the claim.

If Susan Linn wants to push for a commercial-free childhood, then she needs to go back to the 1940's / 50's with the start of mass media and advertising.

Seriously, parents are the ones responsible for making the decisions as to what their kids watch, not some activist group with a socialist agenda.

  • What does bush have to do with it? I don't agree anything can be educational its about how much you can get from it. You learn things from commerical, porn, south park, garbage man, a bum, a crackhead, weed head, a teacher, doctor, your mother and father, someone walking down the street etc. No one can ever say you cant learn something from anything.

  • keep to your point without blaming Bush - you Phony

  • My baby kicks me everytime I put on Baby Einstein..

  • my son loves baby einstein, i actually enjoys watchin it too. what she's sayin doesnt make sense, there's nothing wrong with watching BE videos. this is Rubbish!

  • nothing wrong, but also nothing educational! disney is too powerful!

  • @maryannriosa1 a study found that for every hour a baby watches TV, he/she won't learn 6 words. children don't learn by passively watching TV, even if the show is educational. they learn by having regular human relations and repetition, like adults.

  • I don't agree with everything she's doing, but I do think she has some points that deserve consideration. My son(18 months) watches Baby Einstein once in a while and he really enjoys it. However, I think that one of this lady's main concerns is the use of videos like BE can *replace* time that the toddlers would otherwise spend engaging in play and creativity - things which cannot be substituted by BE videos. The marketing issue is of concern as well.

  • good post

  • Ahhh Berkley. Thank you for turning out another angry activist who spends her life looking for something to supposedly save the world from. How self important.

Hey genius - if a video is TEACHING colors, shapes, animals, numbers, etc etc. -- it's EDUCATIONAL.

Could it be any more obvious that what she hates is a Christian mom starting her own SUCCESSFUL business? Although, she just may hate the Bush administration MORE.

  • There is a big difference between stimulating & educational & it is impossible to accurately measure the impact of creativity on young minds.

Disney is selling toy products but we are savvy prosumers not naive consumers?

The issue here is whether young people are being encouraged 2 pester their parents 2 buy stuff after seeing it on BE.

If they are then it's clearly unethical behaviour on the part of the commercial entity.

Baby Einstein is the digital version of the flash card!!

  • this bitch is fuckin crazy

  • I am a parent and I would say they are educational. How do they not teach the children anything? If the video is teaching the children words, sing language, shapes, and colors what part of that isnt educational. What exactly do you call it then.

  • Kiss off lady. My baby has been watching it and he's already smart...Plus, it gives me a half hour of break time. Why do you people have to pick apart everything? Are We parents not smart enough to figure what's good and educational for our own children? Lady, do you even HAVE any children of your own???

  • this is to the lady in the video, not any other comments, I wanted to make that clear.

  • we can see how "smart" you are seeing you've actually written smth here, believing this woman in the vid can actually read it. ohh... I cry for the future of mankind at the hands of parents such as you...

  • attilayhn: I see how "smart" you are by responding to me. YOu obviously have nothing better to do with your time than to insult other commenters. Of coarse I know I'm not writing to the lady talking.... Get a life. It's freedom of speech, I can comment on this as much as I want, to whom I want. bug off and mind your own.

  • My child has been watching baby einstein since day one! And he is three and knows all of his countries and all of the planets and can count by five and tens. And And can count to 100. He also can see two numbers together such as 7 and 6 and will say "seventy six". I firmly stand behind baby einstein and it's products. Stay out of people's business and how they raise there children!

  • i have baby einstien videos for my kid and i have watched them of course. how can anyone not see the way the presentations stimulate young minds, its so obvious. this lady has no life. stupid bitch.

  • how sad is your life when you feel the need 2 sue a children's video company?

  • Actually if you want the real conspiracy; Disney threatened the UW (university that did the study) to withhold donations & endowments if they didn't retract their findings.

  • Bush was opposed to FINANCIAL regulation. The reason he wouldn't do anything about garbage like Baby Einstein is because he is a scientific moron. If he thought "god" didn't like Baby Einstein, he would have no problem regulating it.

  • you people are all nuts. this woman/group raises some excellent questions about crossing lines where marketing meet education.

asking a company that makes a claim that its product educates to substantiate that claim seems totally necessary to me

  • just plain and simple this lady and others that follow are just fucking stupid. dumb bitch.

  • a well thought out and groundbreaking argument. :-D

  • I bought these when they first came out, before Disney purchased the rights to them. My daughter watched and loved them. I thought I was providing her with educational programming. I specifically remember a clip in one video about hearing how different languages helps your infant with the sounds, and how it diminishes after 12 months or so. Now it makes me wonder...

  • These people are rediculous. Let people raise their children however they please...

  • oh its educational, my son watched em since 7 months n he's a real smart boy n knows alot about so many things..cut the crap lady. the next thing u'll be saying is sesame street aint educational!!!

  • This lady seems really pleased with herself.

Babyeinstein Helped teach my baby to start signing at 6 mo.

She uses over a dozen signs now, and her vocabulary is over 20 words she is 14 months.

I also havent seen any evvidence saying that baby einstein is not educational. Dont be haters like those guys on the drunk dad show claiming that these videos make kids 83% dumber. Dont hate, go save trees you cuntcha.

  • Seriously people. I don't really care who says what about how I should raise my child. Academy of Pediatrics is just there to cover everything just in case someone is too dumb to exersise common sense. You dont put your kid in front of the tv for hours at a time. But for those times that you do put your kid in front of the tv why shouldn't it be with something they really really enjoy? My daughter loved the videos instantly and it was the only thing that made her stop crying in the morning.

  • My son started watching these very early too. The package said for kids just a few months old so we thought it was ok. And it was. He learned a lot from them but it also changed the way he looks at things which is good and bad. I agree with the 2 year old minumim now but not because of the peds community they are the ones pumping our kids with thermasil and telling us its ok...it is not ok. Do not let them give your kid a flu shot with this preserative. YOu can get one without.

  • Scrap the videos until they are 2.

Make your child play with blocks, toys, crayon and paper.

Our children need to problem solve and work through issues, not be able to recall items from rote learning.

Do your child a favour and don't knock these liberal/hippie people, thank them for giving you another point of view so you can help to bring your child up aa a free thinking, problem solving individual that doesn't follow the crowd.

  • blah blah blah, you almost sound like you know what the hell you are talking about you damn tree hugger. USA number 1.

  • If this lady had half the imagination Julie Clark has she might come up with something original instead of just being a fault finder. I think it's obvious the videos are entertaining AND educational.

  • omg...whatever...my son has been watching these since he was pretty much born and is soo advanced for his age!!

  • Lame.

  • The plural of "anecdote" is not "data," people. The American Academy of Pediatrics says children under 2 shouldn't watch tv. What's wrong with reading to your kids to teach them colors and words?

  • My son loves to watch baby einstein, the videos help him LEARN about the many different colors, numbers, letters etc. Hats off to the creators of baby einstein, I say Thank You for creating a program that helps my child Learn. This Lady is a communist and a fascist. Damn this fat lying nazi

  • Define communist and a facist.

Why is it that yanks are so afraid of anything that resembles responsibility? What are you afraid of, the red army? That's right, they came didn't they?

Back to living under your rock to poke your head out to use words you hear on your FOX News network and then return under your stone to corrupt your children's thinking.

  • Wow.. Both of you.

  • I guess I will have to let my child start watching South Park.

  • This video is full of it. My child old can identify both in English And Spanish animals on th farm, colors. This lady is just upset of the administration.

It sounds like she has 2 people in her audiance. This is America, Land of opertunity. Go Figure.

  • "You can see the complaint on our website, and it's actually a really good complaint."...not like all our other complaints, which were PURELY toilet humor and knock-knock jokes. My daughter can watch Baby Einstein all day. I'm tired of these hippies using children as a weapon against politicians because they are such a soft-spot for Americans. This lady needs some luvin' but for now the only thing that gets her off is tickling Bush's stooges in the butt with a feather duster.

  • blah blah blah is all i can say. Heck my 2 month old son stares at the tv when ever he gets near it. He loves tv, the colours and movement facinate him so i am going to buy the baby einsten series so he can at least possibly learn something whilst he stares at the box. I say if it is for a short amount of time and you cant go outside because of the weather then why not let the kid sit there and watch something he enjoys and is possibly teaching him.

  • Bunch of liberal kooks, Full of themselves, what arrogance!!! "Since I am in Berkeley, I can tell you this story". Of course you are the greatest world saviors. Your ego is amazing.

  • my child knows and recognizes letters and numbers backwards, forwards and out of order. I attribute a large part of that to her watching baby einstein, brainy baby and sesame street. We also play using flash cards and puzzles. If baby einstein isn't educational then you can't say Sesame street is educational either. where is the suit against Sesame Workshop? Oh, by the way, my daughter just turned 2.

  • all those baby education stuff are silly anyway. if its an orange, its not always in orange colour. there are many shades of colours. I remember looking at a picture and an object was in some purple colour, while the teacher said look at the red object. I was confused.

its better to let the kids out in the nature. if ancient egyptians learned the colours by looking at the flax seeds or goats, then todays kids can also learn colours from looking at whatever grows and walks behind their house.

  • She seems a little bitter towards many things/people...

Just don't go to extremes-don't have your child sit in front of the tv all day but geez, a little tv isn't going to hurt anyone.

  • I read one of the older post about the worthwhileness of children watching t.v. Babies shouldn't watch, that's true, but if they are going to, I'd rather them see the baby einstein series than pokemon.

  • I know I know, the baby einstein videos aren't the actual issue but, why can't we trust parents to make up their minds as to whether something is educational or not? I don't have to have it proven that reading books (no matter the content) improves my vocabulary, I don't have to have it proven that eating fruits and vegetables makes my bowels move more easily (it does)......the fact is, the videos introduce classical pieces of music and art. That's good enough in my book.

  • Unfortunately, if the governments don't regulate the crooked and devious (and self righteous) will take advantage.

There is no such thing as a "free" market, by the way.

  • Then who regulates those that are crooked, devious & self-righteous within the government??? Regulation is no solution. It just transfers power from one group to another corrupt group. The free market is a beautiful thing. If the government would stop intervening, the market would punish the devious and crooked. Whatever fleeting success they achieve will be brought down when their reputation catches up to them. Just punishment at a much lower cost.

  • As I said there is no such thing as Free market. In theory it maybe a beautiful thing, in practice it is ugly.

  • Take a long, hard look at the past century of U.S. government interference, both domestically and abroad, before you suggest that we currently have anything approaching enough of a free market that you could judge it as an "ugly" thing. And look at the unintended results of all that interference before you say that it's a good thing the clerks in Washington are "looking out for us." You'll find that it is socialism/statism that is ugly in practice, not freedom.

  • Just wanted to arouse you. I am not against a free market but again I say there is no such thing A truly free market would guarantee everyone could participate.

Choose yur poison: dishonest and greedy free marketers or ignorant ineffecient government bureucrats?

Isn't that painting all pots black though. There are good, honest caring entrepreneurs and business people as their are the same in Washington. What is needed is a balance of free markets and sensible regulation.

  • Further: And the public needs to keep an eye on both (which they will not do because they are too lazy.)

  • Susan Linn should be taken behind a shed and shot in the head!!

Maybe I should start a campaign against bullshit campaigning!!!

  • Why should the government regulate something that doesn't prove to improve your child's intelligence? Free-market dynamics will suffice. If this lady passionately believes what she does, she should continue with the speeches, show ads, find like-minded people to support her, etc.

  • Shit I have just spent the last year playing this to my son.....

  • Why can't a communist be a fascist? Fascism: "a philosophy or system of government that is marked by stringent social and economic control, a strong centralized government... oppressive or dictatorial control." Based on the definition in the dictionary, Communism IS a form of fascism. Communism crushes our freedom to trade, crushes industries and the economy, crushes our freedom to pursue the life we desire. Communism crushes the spirit of every man women and child under it's oppresive control.

  • i see too many mccain ads next to your videos.

  • Hi Justin9Noble, unfortunately we have no control over the ads that display along with our videos - that's all YouTube.

    Thanks for the comment,

    FORAtv

  • i figured as much - it was so just ironic in this context.

  • I am watching a "achmed the dead terrorist" add at the moment.. makes you wonder doesn't it.. :p

  • Some short clips of Baby Einstein for fair-use commentary would have been useful. I've never seen it--but know from personal experience babies don't need any kind of TV, "educational" or otherwise to be intelligent.

Interesting to hear her speak about how far-reaching the influence of the President is, that the FTC isn't working because of its Bush appointees. Obama '08

  • is there anything that's wrong with America that is NOT Bush's fault?? Will you say it's Obama's fault if he is elected and the same shit is happening? Must be nice to be able to blame all of our problems on one person.

  • You make two assumptions here, that I know aren't true, and I'll make two in return: you voted for Bush and believed in him, and are having trouble coping with even the *undeniable* lies and lawlessness. Your mistakes: One, I assign guilt quite correctly; Two, I am not a Dem.

When Bush appointees, embodying the philosophy of the president, fail to do their jobs, or do their jobs downright dishonestly(check the US attorneys scandal for example) YES, that *is* the President's fault.

  • Yes, I will blame Obama if he deserves it. Bush's debacles are to deep to ignore.

  • BRAVO!!!!! You go, girl! Seriously. I'm very disappointed with the ethics of corporate culture and commercial culture.
