My version of being radioactive in 1985/86 when this song was popular was picking up FM radio stations from hundreds of miles away from wherever I was listening to those out of town stations
I am not into japan bashing. I figure we are about even. This disaster, was their own doings, and i am not against helping them when i can. I love thei song. because i love radio. I have one in every room, and my car, and my cell phone, , as well as my mp3 and my sirius satellite radio, and my internet radio, and now youtube.
@daemonWithin Agreed, mostly. : ) Different era totally......pretty well mutual on that one. But it was the only "new" material that was available, as far as I knew, for me.....from 2 very "old" & dear musical "friends" of mine. : ) Almost anything, from this pair, during this era was a breath of fresh air for me. So, in that respect, I look & listen fondly to alot (not all) of The Firm's music. As for Zep.....no brainer there my friend. : )
Eph you, you haters I will destroy you!!!!!!!!! no, seriously this is probably the kindest reference page I may have ever seen. Kudos for civility. Maybe it is because we are all so glad to hear this song, .. OK I can't stand complacentcy (sp) "Get lost!" and "There must be some sort of hate involved!" Get back to me...Ps- Have you met Bob Dobbs?
Wow that one dude is pissed off about nuclear power. I guess we should keep blowing the tops off of WV mountains and throw the extras down in the valley. Dude turn your computer off. Your wasting energy that's causing us to mine more coal in immoral ways. That guy needs to get out of his black and white Democrat/GOP world and realize there's no good solution unless we all move back to little house on prairie. Wasn't this supposed to be about Jimmy Page?
THANK g WE STOPPED THE SHOREHAM NUCLEAR PLANT ON LONG ISLAND FROM EVER OPERATING...WHAT A HORROR AND THE REAGAN ADMIN. FROM THE 80'S WANTED TO SHOVE IT DOWN OUR THROATS, CHANGED ALL THE REGULATING RULES AND WE STILL ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!KILL ALL FUCKING REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES..THEY SERVE NO PURPOSE TO AMERICAN OR ANYTHING ELSE.....WHAT GARBAGE THEY ARE....NO BRAINS..NO LOGIC..NOTHING....
Tony Franklin is epic! along with Paul's insane vocals and Page's guitar work, and Slade's steady upbeated beats makes The Firm, firm in rock history!
This song is so intense! I usually do know about the lead singer of The Firm had to write this song. It'll be much to do within it. It's gotta be true or nothin'. Ya gotta be real, man!
Ok, I was born in the early 90's and people say I'm weird because I LOVE The Firm...it's not my fault that the 80's had the best rock band! And has the best songs ever!
CAN ANYONE SHOW ME HOW TO PLAY THIS GUITAR SOLO?!!!! IS THERE TAB ON IT? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR AGES! THANKS!
Hey this song brings me up. Now I truly understand that I wasn't uptight but was just radioactive. I went and got the operation and now I am no longer radioactive and haven't listen to music stations for a long time because they just don't make songs like this anymore.
This is one of the most unremembered super groups. I mean the members of this band are legends of rock. Even if Jimmy Page did steal lots of riffs from old blues men.
i happen to have GUITAR WORLD december 2004 issue "100 WORST RIFFS, LICKS, & SOLO'S OF ALL TIME" this song is #77. Paul Rodgers is playing the guitar.
@TEMPmichaelhansen Paul Rodgers has played the song live since way back when and he plays the guitar part live when he does maybe, but it's Jimmy Page who plays in the studio version of this you hear right here. And it's one of the baddest as in greatest riffs ever. As all Page's are. End.
I remember Rolling Stone mag panning this song and album but I thought it was pretty good. The song to me held up better then some of the album but still it was nice to see Pagey active again. Plus I love that weird guitar solo he does, still can't figure out exactly what the heck he's doing there.
Rode that storm out! Cabin fever for 2 weeks now. With only a brief relief and sunshine. But that is good enough! Let get Summer Back ON! xxx Ivy <3<3<3

On one hand I love the song. On the other it's a huge fuckin disappointment. You think, is this the best Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers could do?
