@mrkoolaidman012 Your telling me! I already found replacements for the hard to find parts. Only thing I'm missing is an extra rim but those are on Ebay pretty often.
Hell Yeah!!! Ive actually got to sit in in a Joe Gibbs Silverado just like that except it was black and it had the 5.3 and it was turbocharged. Never got to drive it but it was one hell of a truck.
Well unfortunately the rims are no long in production as well as the vehicle. The rim's were stock on the Joe Gibbs vehicles. The only place they pop up are on Ebay about every two months some will pop up.
@mwd92 Well I've sort of been on sabbatical from getting very involved with the truck, just bought a house lol. So hopefully I can get a video of me putting it through it's paces sooner or later.
Oh I am definitely taking care of it, I only drive it in the summer time. Never seen winter and never will. I bought it three years ago with 27K miles it had 36K on it now.
Defiantly quick for a truck, I have 352 rear wheel horsepower and I ran it down the quarter got a 15.75 eta. It has a lot more it can get out of it, it was a hot day and I didn't have the right weight in the bed.
Gas, worst I've gotten was 10mpg when I'm really getting on it often and the best I've gotten highway was 16.5mpg
Oops, sorry, that was a 14.75. It was my first time ever at the strip bout a 90 degree day and I couldn't hook up. Other JGP silvos run some where in the high 13's
Unfortunately the Joe Gibbs Performance line of performance vehicles production line has closed up shop and they are no longer producing them. They closed up shop in 06' but the warranty department is still around.
another thing thats keeping me from buying it is it has 80,000 miles. is the life of a supercharged engine shorter than a n/a motor because of the boost.
That is a valid worry. All depends, was it driven hard? does it have the stock pulley on it (5.5LB of boost)? Then motor itself will probably be fine, but its the actual supercharger you might have to worry about. Those run around 6 grand, but you can probably have it rebuilt.
i am thinking of buying the truck, but can the bumper be found anywhere. the truck is also a single cab but in black. i like the red better. you got one nice truck man.
Yea, they didnt make to many red or white ones. The bulk of them were black, kinda a signature color for Joe Gibbs. You would have to contact Tacoma directly and see if they still have the mold and if they can make one for you. Since the truck is out of production they might not have it anymore. Thanks for the compliment!
No that is not the correct bumper. Although I believe the same manufactuer make both the bumpers (Tacoma) the JGP bumper is a split lower grill, and the fog light holes are smoothed into the bumper rather then having pronouced holes. So no lol, the SS bumper is not a stock option for JGP vehicles.
4.8L V-8, it was either 4.8L and stick shift or 5.3L with auto, thats the way JGP made the vehicles. The manual won my vote, and the two motors put out the same power.
If they do sell them it would most likely be found through Magnuson Superchargers. Contact there tech support and see if they sell them, but I think it may have been a Joe Gibbs Performance part only and may be out of production. The part would just be called a carbon fiber supercharger engine cover.
The Rims are not in production anymore due to Joe Gibbs Performance Vehicles shutting down shop. But you can still find them on the internet, I see them all the time on Ebay for 699.00 for a set of four. Just punch in "Joe Gibbs" on Ebay, itll be in Ebay motors under parts and accessories.
are they all like differnt or something , my uncle has an 05 Joe Gibbs Silverado , his is white and he has differnt tires , rims and he dosen't have a rear wing , his is a super cab tho
There was one color in 2004 (Black) and three colors in 2005 and 2006 (Victory Red, Summit White and Black). Some can be pretty bare while most come with all the options (As listed in the video) the only option my truck did not recieve was the Baer Brakes 4 wheel disc set up. And remember this is all stock from the dealership with a warranty
Also, sometime people make clones of the truck, most of the parts can be found aftermarket. So to make sure, write down the vin number and take it to a chevy dealership. When they punch it in, itll say if its a JGP edition or not
oh it is he had the badge and everything , under the hood was exactly the same , cept he took of the carbon fiber guard for it holds in heat. i have to say you have a very fast comment response time lol , i feel so slow now becuz i have a suzuki samurai which is very slow top out is like 72 , and his truck can hit 72 in what feels like 5 seconds lol , do you know if another plate can be found , the previous owner of the truck put a boost gage right in the middle of the plate?
The Dash Badge is probably one of the only things you cant have replaced, its a one time fabricated badge specific to each truck. I would say call Joe Gibbs performance, but they only assist with warranty info now. Kinda SOL on that part
i looked around on the net but i couldn't find any , if he knew what number it was he could make a new one , is thier any way to find out what number it is?
What you can do is call Joe Gibbs Warranty department (which Is a total bitch cuz there only there for like 2 hours a day) and give them your vin number and hopefully their nice enough that they can give you the custom vehicle number. Joe Gibbs is 877-547-2677, be patient, youll get someone eventually
Sorry dude, im comin out with a driving/burnout video this summer. This was just for information on the truck. Thanks for the really well thought out comment

megaenvy 2 years ago
Thanks a lot! I paid 26k for it, there probably going from around 20-24 depending on options and condition
Pilwho21 2 years ago
That's actually not too bad. I've never heard of the joe gibbs truck before. Is it quick? How is it on gas?
megaenvy 2 years ago

All and all that's not to bad at all. It'd sure be fun to run you in my truck, though I'm betin I won't fare to well. Again man, very nice truck!
megaenvy 2 years ago
15.75 in the 1/4? Something is wrong with this picture, a N/A 5.3 RCSB 2wd truck with 3.73s and a 4L60 will run high 14s in stock trim.
