  • fucking hell this was great :) wish i could have been there to see it live

  • Dolly Pardon played that loss off nicely

  • i bet that audience was like "it must have been a slow year"

  • Lmfao, I bet everyone in the audience shat their pants when they won.

  • we trippy mane

  • #MEMPHIS

  • wow. how long did they spend in makeup to make taraji p henson look ugly in hustle and flow? shes so hot

  • KOBE ON GAME NIGHT!!!

  • they deserved the oscar they won

  • I just think the chic that sang the song is completely off key.

  • love it, specially that sexy fox xD

  • 3-6 Mafia is cool. They wrote an oscar winning (well deserved) song. But it would be sooooooooooooooooo nice to see Terrence Howard himself doing this number for the oscars. But yeah, the acceptance speech from the guys was one of the best personal oscar moments of mine.

  • this won an Oscar? well, i guess so has catherine zeta jones...

  • Pimp is street code for fag, the talk the dress the attitude, big time faggots.

  • @MrKeepItGKyreh me to haha

  • lmao crunchy doin his dance on stage

  • lol. I bet everyone was shocked there.

  • This shows that anything is possible.

  • 3 6 mafia maaaaas Puto

  • haha taraji..i forget its her sometimes

  • WHY WAS IT ONLY 3 NOMINEES THAT YEAR,I THOUGHT IT WAS ALWAYS SUPPOSED TO BE 5 NOMINEES.JUST SAYIN.

  • Paul Mooney's Laugh Factory stand up about this is funny as hell!

  • some people are lay, and should have the decency not to say about what they do not understand.

  • I ain't trying to hate on 3 6, but did they have to win for this song? I felt embarrassed for black people everywhere when everybody started laughing at them when they won and went on stage crew deep. It really felt like they were making fun of black people. Denzel won for playing a dirty crooked cop, Halle won for playing a desperate single mother whore banged by a white man, and 3 6 wins for it's hard out here for a pimp wtf...

  • PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPP!!! LMAO!

  • I bet all the Oscar people were like "what the fuck is going on, How did this get nominated"

  • who else hears Paula Campbell saying witches instead of bitches? :D

  • @themangakawolf really?......-.- its the fuckin oscars.. ofcours they dont say bitch. lol.

  • @TheDFixx i'm just saying anyone heard it.

  • Who is the woman?

  • @rolltide91011 Paula Campbell

  • @themangakawolf whp is paula campbell, thats taraji p henson

  • @jenard20 really? k thx :)

  • @rolltide91011 Taraji P. Henson (frm Benjamin Button)

  • WTF, an Oscar? Wow, who the fuck is in charge over there!

  • I listen almost entirely to hip-hop and If I had to guess, at least 90% of the live performances I have seen or watched are terribly disappointing. This isn't the worst one but its fairly bad, part of that can just be blamed on crunchy black for being so shitty. I think paula sang really well. The worst performance I ever experienced was wu-tang, the best was probably cypress hill or jay-z.

  • They did the thang. I dont listen to rap anymore but it was a breakthrough. Some times you got to take what you can get.

  • holla back 214-573-3065 i need a feature

  • this made me cringe....feels like to me they were making fun of black ppl by having this song nominated and performed smh

  • I used to watch that 3-6 Mafia show some years ago and these guys are cool... sadly I don't know much about their music. Can someone point me out to some of their best songs please??

  • @lcu2099 sippin on some syrup is a classic

  • @gullman6 Thanx man, I'll make sure to check it asap

  • epic!

  • You cut it off at the best part!!!

(That was a great performance, though)

  • hip hop lyrics are so fucking retarded

  • @pachor2 hahah cleary your retarted for searching for music you dont like

  • @pachor2 Why is it that rock fans on YouTube always seek out hip-hop videos just comment about how all hip-hop sucks because they don't happen to like one particular song? I never see hip-hop fans leaving comments on Papa Roach videos saying that all rock music sucks just because Papa Roach sounds like a sack full of cats being drowned. Even you hate most hip-hop, every genre has something worth listening to. I wouldn't call myself a country fan, but I love Johnny Cash. Open your mind.

  • @Crushinator3000

I am a HUGE rock fan but this song is good! I dont care what kind of music anything is...if i like it...i like it. A good song is colorless in my book. It was from a good movie too and i own it. Hell...i even like a couple country songs too. Not really...southern rock for sure though:)

  • @slambo239 YES!

  • @Crushinator3000 Haha, awesome reply, man. I totally agree, i'm this kind of dude who listens to basically every music style, don't really care about its genre actually, i'm more into particular songs, but yes i'm also a HUGE fan of rock and roll, in fact, The Who, The Hellacopers and i don't know, maybe Marshall Tucker Band are my favorite artists ever, but really enjoy hip hip as well specially Three 6 Mafia which is one of my favorite hip-hop groups, and btw, i loved this performance

  • @Crushinator3000 Actually, I listen to metal AND rap/hip hop, and I have seen many, many people into rap leaving nasty comments for metal videos. It's the fans of each genre who are doing the insulting, not the artists themselves. They seem to have a mutual respect for one another but the fans certainly don't. I don't know how old you are so I am not sure you will remember these bands and rappers coming together in an awesome collaboration....

  • @Crushinator3000 ...Biohazard and Onyx, Public Enemy and Anthrax, Aerosmith and Run DMC, Helmet and House of Pain, Ice Cube and Korn, Slayer and Ice-T, Sonic Youth, and Cypress Hill...shall I go on?

  • @Crushinator3000 real talk.

  • Tariji looks like she does not really want to be there.

  • now thats what im talking about

  • That song from Crash was excruciatingly beautiful.. and Dolly Parton has been on the country charts for forty years. Not only did Three-6 win, but they were up against some serious competition.. that's so awesome.

  • W USA też są hejterzy :)

  • I wass celebrating when them niggaz won...lol.

  • They fuckin suck! I prefer the Movie version better.

Of course, the female is the only one with any talent.

  • Man! Queen Latifah made a good ending.

  • NO matter what color you are ever guy know what it is to mess with a hoe..lol..it hard on hoes. torn stocking, broken hair, and bad wigs are alot to deal with...thehell with the pimp

  • She has a lovely voice!

  • Dolly Parton was a very very very very close second. loved both songs that year

  • not even that good, demons with tech n9ne shits on this

  • Wow how could i ever forget this? Usually the Academy Awards is boring. I was so happy when they came out. That was a big moment in hip hop right there. And i was happy when they won. I haven't heard this song in so long.

  • I was so happy that night when they got that Oscar. They are one of the hardest working groups of our time and to see all of their hard work pay off made me a very proud fan!

  • rap is the nwe thing !!!! u see the jeans and t-shirt. while every one els have sute and tie. next year everyone will be in jordans.

  • I just love how far rap/ hip-hop has come! An Oscar says a lot and to go to 3-6 Mafia is insane! LOVE IT!

  • There ought to be a song out there called "It's hard out there for a whore" chronicling all the ways women and girls get manipulated or coerced into a lifetime of abuse and torture with virtually no compensation... because let's face it, pimps are simply parasitic predators and when caught they don't really suffer.

The women and girls that pimps use? They go to jail. The pimps? Slap on the wrist for show and behind the scenes? A thumbs up to their hurtful actions.

  • @FlamebergeDuster Don't be hatin'. If a bitch can't find herself any occupation other than being a prostitute and lets herself be pimped, then who's fault is it? They all made their own choices, so I see no reason to feel sorry for them.

  • @kaifime Oh god shut the fuck up you ignorant piece of shit. Why don't you actually crack a fucking book you fucking moron and learn some shit rather than blaming some 12 year old that gets roped into sex trafficking, you fucking retard.

  • @AliKey Wow, so you are trying to impress me with kind of proper grammar but a poorly made argument? Bitch please, 12 year olds are a huge minority in prostitution. Any older than that should have at least some wits to decide what's best for them. Douché bitch, you should pick up prostitution as well, seeing as you like to bitch and whine so much.

  • @kaifime Prostitution differs from sex work. If a woman chose to be a prostitute, it's not a choice free of weight. There is power and violence as well as manipulation involved (blackmail, rape, drugs, starvation, beatings)--pimps use all of that as a control method. Any woman who chose without those weights has NO pimp and pays herself--that is sex work.

As I said before, pimps are just parasitic predators who deserve no mercy from anyone.

  • Probably first time and last time they perform on Oscar...

  • @qasharry point is that they did, non of these haters have amounted to shit compared to triple 6 mafia

  • @qasharry will remain history! ;P These fus came so far. haha

  • 53 year old white guy here, also no fan of rap (though I appreciate the genius of Lauryn Hill).

This was the best musical performance I have ever seen on the Academy Awards.

  • an oscar for this?!

  • That note was raggggggedy!

  • i hate how the losers always have to pretend to be excited when they dont hear their name called

  • How very surprising that the only ones bitching over Three Six winning that award are women. Get the fuck back to the kitchen

  • @kaifime yo...that's...uncool...women are the world my friend.

  • This is music?? Talking about using human trafficking to make money? It's hard for a Pimp?? What about those girls who are "working the track" so that pimp can have his money for rent? Go get a real job and leave these poor girls alone! How can people really not think something is wrong with this song. Ridiculous!!

  • Comment removed

  • @AimersSD Its for a movie!!! Please......why dont you be a little more open minded! Have you even seen the movie it was created for??? Obviously not because you would understand the meaning for this song! The academy awarded them so looks like ur the only one who thinks its rediculous......LMAO

  • @AimersSD I bet you're one of those people who blames music for things like murder and rape. It's a song. Just like a book is a book and a poem is a poem, a song is just a song and people can write about whatever they want. Not everyone is so impressionable.

  • @chrisenator1969 Correct, not everyone is so impressionable. Just the young black males that view these thugs as role models. 70% born out if wedlock, 33% ages 17-30 incarcerated, only 12.8 % of the U.S. population, yet make up over 60% of the state male prison population. So yeah, not everyone is so impressionable.

  • @Jerseyboy38 Fuck your statistics if u didnt grow up where we did u dont know shit what else are we suppose to look up to when all you do is shit on us and were suppose to look up to u, get the fuck outa here

  • Comment removed

  • @dudecuz22 Hey cuz, not my statistics, rather those of the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Corrections. Sadly, your grammer indicates that you are or will become an inmate. I assume you have a television and computer. Watch something other than MTV and BET. You will find that there is another way . Baggy pants, pot metal teeth, and sideways ball caps will not help you succeed. We have attempted to show you the way for generations. You just refuse to watch.

  • @Jerseyboy38

Worked out for Emenim, 50, and lots of other guys. They sagged. Clothes don't make the man.

  • @xCOMPETITIONx ...agree, two prime examples of humanity(sarcam on) Perhaps Obama's next appointees to the Supreme Court. Support our troops and LE.

  • @Jerseyboy38 it's spelled grammar nigga

  • @mgwaters13 Thanks nigg(ar) sic

  • @mgwaters13 What's a nigga(sic)? I'm not a wannabe...sorry.

  • @mgwaters13 Were you born in the United States? Ever learn English?

  • i love qeen latifah at the end soo ganstaa

  • Dolly Parton was robbed. In my humble opinion this song didn't deserve to win that year.

  • look at ozone from Breakin' at 2:01

  • @hollyballs Yeah, that's him alright. Shabba-Doo did the choreography for the performance. Not much to say of it though.

  • LOL-You can tell Taraji was having second thoughts just before that last note.

  • How come some musicians out there write and make beautiful music and these guys are the ones winning an Oscar? This doesn't make sense to me.

  • @Saramore13 because the rest of us don't judge music to your standards?

  • i bet white folks were mad as a mutha fucker when they won that shit

    last note wasnt good tho

  • I AM EMBARRASSED AS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN!

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247

    then fuck u nigga

    that shit is beautiful man

  • @grimshitheadharryc7

comments like yours are exactly why I am embarrassed!.......

*** the Oscars are a time to be CLASSY not TRASHY*** girls on stage shaking their butts and grinding on men, talking about how its hard for a pimp....give me a break! Its an embarrassment to be ethnically and culturally represented in such a demeaning way!

AND PLEASE DO NOT INSULT ME AND OTHERS BY CALLING ME "NIGGA"

    ~ thank you.

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247 This shit is pretty much your cultural heritage, so be proud of what 3-6 accomplishes.

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247 the oscars are a time to celebrate what people consider the best actors, actresses, movies, effects, MUSIC, etc. this was a great song that went along with the movie perfectly. also, if getting on stage being drunk off your ass and stumbling through an acceptance speech is your definition of being classy, then this performance should be on par with your definition.

  • @klinkysworld who was drunk and stumbling during an Oscar acceptance speech???

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247 only about half of the actors and actresses who get on stage for their acceptance speech

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247 lol C'mon sistah!!!!! IT's Just Music.

  • @LuckyCharmgirl247,

This is just an mirror what happends, people make money not because they don't otherwise. But if that bill comes in to your crib, and you don't have any education. You got the get what it takes to pay that bill.

For all the pimps, KEEP IT PIMPIN! R.I.P UNCLE C!

  • I think Whoop That Trick should have won an Oscar!

  • my pops is really is a pimp

  • sorry, but I hate Taraji's singing...

  • No substance in this song same old sexual suggesting lyrics and fake ass mama boys trying to act as gangsters when they are just little screaming pranksters,

  • Those Lyrics Sound Retarted When I translate them to my language. The music is good thought.

  • that last note was awful!!!

  • haha my stepmom and dad were there that night. I asked my dad how did you feel about the three six mafia he said he was shocked. He was in his 50s and i was still in high school lol.... Im glad they won

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT

  • Wow Ive Never Heard Some Bodys Voice Crack Like That At 2:53

  • awesome

  • Looks like we are forgetting this is a MOVIE SONG. The oscars showed that a wide variety of music can win best song, picture, etc. I am black and this movie does not represent me. I have a degree and a decent job. We seem to have a problem with thisthough , but we dont have problems with movies like scarface, and the godfather and the rest of the mafia movies. Mafia=Murder, gambling, drugs, prostitution (pimping). OH my god those are classics. Oh I know why, the lead characters are white. OOPS

  • @stewwalk I am a black female and I agree with everything you just said.

  • @stewwalk I'm with you on this....l

  • @stewwalk Italians ain't white....and scarface is based of cubans.....

  • @stewwalk true enough ... denzel did win best actor for his role in training day though but i see where you coming from ... steps still need to be made

  • @stewwalk Swag

  • @stewwalk Looks like you are forgetting this is a movie song too.

  • Talk about a bad singer at the end when she screams like hell.

  • damn you know they were nervous as fuck , you gotta love 3-6 mafia

  • great moment! Thanks

  • i dont know how this happened but more power to them i guess the oscars was tryna say we aint all stuffy.

  • this is embarrassing. for black woman i swear i was shocked.

  • I really don't understand how so many black people, especially women, gladly relate to this kind of lyrics and way of thinking.

  • @kgordon22586 you really have to see the movie to understand where the song comes into play

  • Jajaj this look like the mtv vma, not like the academy awards

  • jaja you´re right!!!!!! what the hell? pimps? ohh yeah

  • But unfortunately it IS The Academy Awards and they gave the Best Song Oscar to this instead of Dolly Parton's masterful "Travelin' Thru".

  • Because this song is amazing. Rap is a valid form of music and it's about time real rap gets some publicity.

  • look oscars usually borin glad they did something to make it better

  • :'( :-(( :( :'(

  • this is some embarrassing shit.

  • Is that Taraji P. Henson? She sings?! :l

  • Yes, and Yes lol

  • @SofhiaX yup that's her

  • @SofhiaX yea man have u ever seen the movie hustle & flow?

  • great

  • Amen. That is all.

  • Its been quite awhile since they won that Oscar and I still can't believe they won an Oscar. Three 6 won a fucking Oscar!

  • One of the greatest moments in Oscar history when they won.

  • @docscs Damn right...

  • @docscs What exactly made it a "great moment"?

  • @Jerseyboy38

It was nice to see a winner with true exhuberance. The look on Latifah's face and Stewart's comment afterwards were priceless.

It was a "great moment" also because it was completely unexpected.

  • @docscs The only thing "completely unexpected" is they aren't in jail. Probably out on bond.

  • I like Three 6 mafia but how the hell did they win an oscar. It's kind of shocking if you really think about it.

  • THEY IS NOT horrorcore THEY STRAIGHT MEMPHIS MUSIC GET IT RIGHT

  • Yep, this is quite possible THE MOST SURREAL RANDOM SHIT I'VE EVER SEEN! WTF is a southern horrorcore rap group doing at the Oscars - then actually winning the fuckin thing too lmao?!

    Weird shit!

  • It is freaking weird cause most of the people who voted on the ballad are white people above the age of 30 and the won LOL.

  • KEVIN DIETRICH DU FETTER BAUER

  • BET at the Oscar. AWESOME!!!

  • The social realism here is devastating.

  • its cuz dat chick from da south the a lil slow no wat i mean horngoddess08 and she young

  • HornGoddess08 and sweetuth99 should get together ....

  • i remember how crazy it was when a rap group won song of the year it was so sweet

  • Yes, sweetuth99, I'm glad that you spend time with me on a daily basis to know exactly what it is that I do with my time - glad to know.... :P But in general, I agree with the rest of your comment. But I don't worry about what anybody thinks of me (white or not). That would be absurd. And I never said that I was concerned with that in the first place... so, anyway, I won't respond to your next comment if you choose to leave one. The conversation is done.

    God bless! :D

  • Apparently you've misunderstood my statement to the ultimate degree. It is not my personal opinion that the people performing onstage are an example of the entire black community. I simply stated that the Media generally loves to portray blacks in this fashion. Maybe you should calm down. After all, it's only youtube and I do believe under the 1st amendment that I am entitled to my own opinion/freedom of speech. Thank you, and good night. :)
