3-6 Mafia is cool. They wrote an oscar winning (well deserved) song. But it would be sooooooooooooooooo nice to see Terrence Howard himself doing this number for the oscars. But yeah, the acceptance speech from the guys was one of the best personal oscar moments of mine.
I ain't trying to hate on 3 6, but did they have to win for this song? I felt embarrassed for black people everywhere when everybody started laughing at them when they won and went on stage crew deep. It really felt like they were making fun of black people. I listen almost entirely to hip-hop and If I had to guess, at least 90% of the live performances I have seen or watched are terribly disappointing. This isn't the worst one but its fairly bad, part of that can just be blamed on crunchy black for being so shitty. I think paula sang really well. The worst performance I ever experienced was wu-tang, the best was probably cypress hill or jay-z.

@LuckyCharmgirl247 the oscars are a time to celebrate what people consider the best actors, actresses, movies, effects, MUSIC, etc. this was a great song that went along with the movie perfectly. also, if getting on stage being drunk off your ass and stumbling through an acceptance speech is your definition of being classy, then this performance should be on par with your definition.

Looks like we are forgetting this is a MOVIE SONG. The oscars showed that a wide variety of music can win best song, picture, etc. I am black and this movie does not represent me. I have a degree and a decent job. We seem to have a problem with thisthough , but we dont have problems with movies like scarface, and the godfather and the rest of the mafia movies. Mafia=Murder, gambling, drugs, prostitution (pimping). OH my god those are classics. Oh I know why, the lead characters are white. OOPS

Apparently you've misunderstood my statement to the ultimate degree. It is not my personal opinion that the people performing onstage are an example of the entire black community. I simply stated that the Media generally loves to portray blacks in this fashion. Maybe you should calm down.
