@jakeCV36 Is this even a serious question? Evolution mutation doesn't implicitly morph all species into something else as if it were a straight line. Though there were mutations, some of the groups of chimp ancestors did not get the mutation and then did not breed with those with new mutations and formed a different line. Basically, a tangent line of progression along the chain. Happened with all animals we have today.

@everseenone I agree with you but the chcken came first simply because i don't believe the chicken ever evolved and god created the chhicken not the eggs of the chicken. I believe in evolution i just believe not everything has evolved.

@lazypixel395 (late respond i know) i understand, but if you want try looking at it this way: god is almighty, so he would of course had the power and wisdom to simply create a single cell and make it so it would evolve in what he desired. Also, if (a) god made the universe and pretty much every thing, would it not make sence to have rules =) short version: ''science does not prove that god doesnt exist, only if he did what rules he set with what he made. take care <3

Evolution and creation aren't mutually exclusive any more than science and religion are mutually exclusive. There's only a real problem when science is treated like a religion, like saying that something can't be true unless it's provable. Of course, any good scientist knows that notion has already been disproven. Likewise, a scientist should never assume something isn't true because of their religion. Science and their religion may both benefit from further study.

Your statement, that 1+1=2 is only true in our common idea of calculus. There do, however, exist Finite Fields, in which this statement would be wrong. For example, F_2 consist only of 0 and 1 (it is not binary, however!), so 1+1=0! Granted, that's not any kind of mathematics we are confronted in everyday's life, but it disproves your claim.

Speaking of which, I like scientific methods.

@alameachan Ah I think I get it somewhat. Still reading. In a field of 0 and 1, 1+1 can either be 0 or 1. And cannot be 2 because that would take it outside the field.

@TheGrimGary It can also not be 1, because there can be only one element Neutral to Addition, which is 0. If 1+1=1 (thus making 1 the neutral element), 0+0 could not be 0 (or else 0 would be neutral as well, which contradicts the neutral element being unique).

...... um having gone through that talk and study the answer was the chicken.... because the egg the chicken hatched from wasn't a chicken egg. it was a proto-chicken egg. because only chickens can lay chicken eggs. Identity is absolute and to say proto-chickens lay chicken eggs is absurd.

As you mentioned in the video Math is science. this isn't a basic Equation. The true answer is both but we want to know which one came first. Your looking at a catch 22.

But it would seem to me, at the point of conception/fertilization that the egg is genetically no longer what is was before the mutated gene took its place. So problem becomes the egg itself, rather than the offspring. That is if you consider that only proto-chickens lay proto-chicken eggs, and only chickens hatch from chicken eggs.

@TheGrimGary I was saying that Chicken eggs come from Chickens and Proto-chicken eggs come from Proto-chickens. The egg (if it is visible) Would look like a proto-chicken egg even if a chicken came out. And going into how Evolution works it'd take 3-5 generations of Proto-chickens before you had the first 100% chickens laying 100% chicken eggs.

The truth about science and god. "We have yet to prove, or disprove, the existence of God." I think that answers plenty right there. I personally believe there is a God, but I have a hard time believing in religion. Though, that is more the religous leaders fault than anything God might have done. I also believe in science, saying we just appeared on this earth with no real purpose... well really. That is something most religions claim, as well.
