  • or that could be the fact that this video is from two years ago

  • I'm really surprised you get that great mellow rich tone in the lower octave using ZZ reeds, which in my experience are really too bright (w/ my setup, anyway). But maybe that explains the thin sound of the second octave. Maybe try a Java or a Vandoren Trad to help make the second octave fuller sounding, which you ought to work on in any case no matter what setup you use.

  • You've got talent ! very smooth..I love how you play !

  • Great tone! And I thought tenors sounded squawky! LOL

  • Pretty good, buy one of the stands ur school uses thats not wire. It is REALLLLLLY worth like twenty bucks.

  • Five stars from Latebooooomer. Sounds really good! I wish I could practice four hours a day like you.

  • Awesome tone. Keep er going, you'll be fine.

  • Dude, I hope you get in. You're very good. Your tone is a little thin in some spots, so you should get more air and air support. However, don't worry about it too much because it's jazz, it's ok. Just keep it in mind. You sound a lot like Coleman Hawkins. When the video started, I thought I was listening to Coleman Hawkins.

  • Awesome vibrato build up at 57-1:01
