I'm really surprised you get that great mellow rich tone in the lower octave using ZZ reeds, which in my experience are really too bright (w/ my setup, anyway). But maybe that explains the thin sound of the second octave. Maybe try a Java or a Vandoren Trad to help make the second octave fuller sounding, which you ought to work on in any case no matter what setup you use.

Just keep it in mind. You sound a lot like Coleman Hawkins. When the video started, I thought I was listening to Coleman Hawkins.
