  • All of my gold fish have died with in a week and i have bought alot of madications to healp it treat it but they sill die because of ich, can you give me an advise.

  • @dgkeryday737 if they are all dead.. boil all your rocks and anything that will handle it and start all over clean everything the best you can and start from scratch... bring a water sample down to your local pet store they should be able to test your water and tell you what you need

  • how much does alll this stuff cost exluding the tank and filter?

  • Thanks this is helpful! I am thinking of getting a large aquarium (large to me is 30 gallon) and I'm told you need a certain kind of stand for it bc of the weight? Anyway I want big fish like that in your video. What kind of fish are they? :)

  • @Shaghaircut oscars are the biggest ones .. what others were you intrested in

  • Awesome video! Very helpful. Thank you.

  • why my arowana dont eat

  • um..your rocks look funny...i bet you look funny...

  • its a 90 gallon, but its long and narrow

  • It looks like the oscar inside the ship is dead 4:37

  • @hendrixcasey1029 An oscar may be resting in horizontal position; it is not necessarily dead when it is in that position.

  • Nice tank. if u have time could u check out the vid of my tank nd tell me what u think and any tips you may have. also im wondering what kind of fish would get along in a 10 gallon tank

  • Im going shopping for water conditioners tomorrow and Im not sure what to get so honestly Im just going to buy what you have

  • @IITWiiZT3DxX I used them all they are good products

  • @IITWiiZT3DxX you should get prime, its good quality stuff.

  • so just wondering would the algae grow faster if i had live plants or would it grow the same old ??? please get back too me

  • im thinking of starting with goldfish, tetras and some shrimp, any tips about what to feed them?

  • When cleaning your fish tank, do you have to leave some of their "old" water in or just replace all the water with new fresh water? And when cleaning the tank, and putting chemicals in, do you have to take your fish out or is it fine?

  • @mshellyxoxo you should always try to save 50% of the water.. unless it is fithly and you cant get it clean by leaving that much.. the chemicals are safe to the fish they help balence the water to the right living conditions

  • @hacker8675309 Thankyou very much! (:

  • @mshellyxoxo only do 10-20 percent water change. never replace all the water.

  • when you first set up you tank take a sample of water down to your local pet shop and alot of times they can test your water for you and show you what you need.. if you dont have the chems that I showed you.. you should let the tank run for a few days without the fish for the water to kind of mixup or balence the levels

  • Awesome setup.. I just setup a 50 gallon corner tank... bought it from a freind, he used it once but couldnt keep his fish alive, so sold me the tank, stand, ehim canister filter, a regular filter, and a heater... cleaned it all up.. I didnt put any gravel in , but I filled it with water.. can I now add gravel, or do I have to siphon all the water out lol...and should I put any ammonia cleaners, or any liquids in the water, before getting any fish for about a day or two.. thanks!

  • Is it just me or does this tank look larger then 90 gallons wat are the dimensions?

  • @pwendyodaddy 6 FOOT BY 18 INCHES BY LIKE 12 TO 18 SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

  • CHECK MINE OUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • does the whole top of the tank need to be covered?

  • @Tuesdays86 depends on the fish you have... it can be not covered at all if you dont have fish that will jump out of the tank

  • wait-- so (beginner aquarist) even for freshwater fish its ok to put some salt in the take? and how does syphoning work? do you change out all the water (aside from the water you left your fish in to the side) or does the original water just get filtered and put back in the tank?

  • @junkspartan yes all tanks need a amount of salt varys depending on the fish you have .. the most you should do on a water change is 50% of the water..

  • thanks

  • u have done well. i congratulate you. For me, I use the bathtub, no filter, and I usually eat my livestock before they die - sometimes I dont get to it. waters brown. I will use your tips. thankyou my friend. and u got all this into 10 mins. nice job.

  • @markbroncos13579 Thanks hope it helps and thanks for watching

  • Thanks for the information.

  • @SpaceRogue80 your welcome thanks for watching

  • api is one of my favorite brands, but i adore top fin. they are both amazing!!!!

  • cleaned the tank with hot water and salt?? I thought you were supposed to use vinegar, or is it either or

  • @THEZOOLOGIST123 I have never used vinegar

  • ~how many gallons?

~what type of filter are you using?

~thinking about setting up cichlid tank, should i get south american or african cichlids?

  • @laxplayer3690 its a 90 gal. canister filter, if you want any other fish than african .. get south american because they wont kill other fish as much .. some still do... africans kill other fish ....good luck with the tank

  • @hacker8675309 thanks, also(sorry about all the questions) what brand of canister filter do you recommend and if i were to get a 125 gallon tank how much should i over-filter my tank

  • @laxplayer3690 no prob about the questions I am glad to help.. always over filter.. they are dirty fish they dont always eat all there food so the more filter the better.. any filter should work it matters more what you put in the filter. the filter is mainly just a pump. the filtration is what you put in it.. good luck

  • Looks like you like api, or they sponsor you, hehe.

  • @timwilldrumit it s the only thing i have used.. not my sponsor

  • hey man great job thanks for the info

  • @cjhurt32592 no prob thanks for watching

  • That's a great tank. (; I have 2 of the same oscars && 2 of the yellow with orange one's. Do all of them grow up to that big?

  • @droppdeaadd they all get pretty large LOL... big tanks are a must for more than one

  • i have a 20 gallon tank, i have 3 gold fishes about 2 inches long fish. When should i change water and when to clean my filter. pls. help. O, when & how much should i put my water clearance and ph into the tank.

  • @824josephine clean the tank whenever it starts to be dirty looking... buy a test kit for the levels tests... read the chem bottles for info on how much to add thanks for watching good luck with the tank

  • DO i put the chemicals in as the fish are still in the tanks

  • @meejvaj the fish chemicals are safe for the fish

  • How do i stop the green stuff from growing very fast because i have a normal bulbs for a 10 gallon tank but in a matter of days the green starts growing and i have to change it very rare

    plz help !!!!!!!!!!

  • @luchiehanna100 get a alge eater type fish ... or get some alge stop chemical both should do the trick to keep it at a small amount of alge... check your lighting it might be causing it to grow faster

  • @hacker8675309 ok what are your settings or recommended settings for lighting conditions

  • @luchiehanna100 ummmm.... I have always used regular house lighting floresent tubes... I never really had many problems with it.. make sure it is the plain floresent. you have to be carefull what lights you use from pet stores alot have a grow type light. those will cause you to grow more alge than others... other than that I am not sure because I always used plain floresent lights =... sorry I cant be more help... thanks for watching

  • lol good on you!

I dont even like to clean my 2 gallon tank out

but your is like 90 gallons -.-

  • Quick Question, when I clean my tank/Change the water and put in the chemicals, Do i have to wait 2 days before putting my fish back in?

  • @nokittymypotpi3 no you dont ... make sure you leave about 50 percent of the water in the tank ... your fish should be fine to put in right after your done cleaning .. thanks for watching

  • i really hate it when people show off there fish products like stress coat and all that.....

  • @connieriley ok

  • @hacker8675309

dont bother about him i guess he is jealous tat he is not able to afford it but to that guy no offence pls

  • ok your tanks IS overstocked and slightly underfiltered...

  • @TheNakerz5 wait..just overstocked....

  • To cure white spot, hang pieces of salad for them to nibble on. You wouldn't believe how well it works.

  • @necrosny great I will have to try that

  • @necrosny does that honestly work are we taking about ich when you say white spot?

  • @samuelwaynefoleyjr

For some strange reason, it did work, at least with our fish. The owner of our local fish shop told us about the trick, so we hung up all sorts of different types of salad which they ate to get rid of the white spots.

  • how come u wash it with hot water & salt what does it do ?

  • @TheYesterdayGuy hot water helps the break up process of the grime and the salt acts as a abrasive to scrub the grime off

  • @hacker8675309 hey what kind of salt did you use

  • @knight1987 watch the video it is on there

  • @hacker8675309 can you put a brim into a fish tank

  • what kind of cichilids can i put in a 29 gallon

  • @rcplane56 you can do any kind... it is how many can live in that small of tank... and how much filtration you have... I would stick to smaller breeds and you could have like 5 or 6 of them.. but if you get oscars I would say only one mabey 2 ... same with dempseys.. really depends on the fish you get ...

  • @hacker8675309 thanks alot and i have a 30 gallon filter

  • @rcplane56 cichilids are dirty fish I would get a bigger filter if you plan to have a tank of them

  • @hacker8675309 oh i probably shouldn't get one then

do u know if i can put a betta in a 29 gallon tropical fish tank

  • @rcplane56 you can get another 20 to 30 gallon tank rest filter and run 2.. it would be cheaper than buying a big 60 to 80 gal new one .. I am not much on trop. fish so I am not the person to ask ... sorry I couldn't help more

  • @hacker8675309 oh thanks for the cichilid info

  • @rcplane56 no prob

  • @rcplane56 afican cichlids would work the best in a 29 gallon tank

  • @Gaby3898 thx

  • were can i get 1?

  • @xxkillak43xx ummm pet stores.. or try online.. not sure I got mine with my tank bought it all used..

  • how much is the filter

  • @xxkillak43xx LIKE 60$

  • also if you have big algae eaters such as plecotos the plectos will suck on the other fish and kill them

  • @TheAlphadog101 thats only chinese algae eaters that do that.....not plecos

  • if you let your tank go for a couple of weeks without or before you get fish the chlorine will evaporrate out and you dont have to use conditioner

  • What Filder you use?

  • good tutorial man... Sweet tank btw

  • @EmperorBenzRx8 thanks alot

  • @JackoToonLad it is long and narrow LOL

  • hey i have a 10 gallon tank with 3 guppies one is pregnant and i have a sword tail in it what els should i get if there is enough room

  • @coltron5 ... 10 gal tanks cant really support alot of fish without lots of filtration so I would only get 1 more fish ... talk to you local pet store for more info have not had a 10 gal tank myself...

  • @hacker8675309 I have a 10 gallon running on a 35 filter and i have like 7 fish in mine.

  • i brought some guppies and they die 3 days later idk y,

  • @jinassassin003 I cant really help without more info???

  • @jinassas take a water sample into ur nearest store they usually test it for free and recomend wat u need to do but it sounds like ur nitrate is low if ur nitrate is low then everytime u introduce new fish into the tank theyll die usually nitite levels are low because ur either to clean with ur filter or ur not using conditions like easy balance a little tip wen u clean ur tank use ur dirty water from the tank to wash ur filter because ur washing all the good bacterier away.

  • when you replace the water about 20%of your tank a good tip is to boil the water and let it cool down or else leave some tap water sitting for 24 hours in a container this works well great video by the way man nice tank too
