  • LOL Chris Robinson. Too stoned

  • Best lead singer/dancer on the planet.

  • INMEJORABLE. ojala se atrevan a tocarla en el BBKLIVE!

  • @juanbaraka

    ojala!!!!!! allí estaremos!!!!

  • Whooooooooo!

  • gran version

  • he looks like jesus

  • @lilfoss66 he is jesus

  • The Crowes have always had this insane gift for making a song their own while still capturing and paying homage to the spirit of the original version. I saw Chris's side project recently do Sugaree and Tough Mama and it was the same story. I have alot of respect for a band that's able to keep their influences alive by introducing them to their audience.

  • Beatiful!! Inspiring!! Makes me want to continue through the day!:)

  • why the hell did a 15 minute ad about god come on first....

  • We're just learning to live together!

  • Good video !

Take a listen to Herbie Hancock's version of this tune on YT. It's also a great version.

  • WOWWWWWWW. I want to see them do this live! This is so so so so sick!

  • preciosoooooo

  • No dislikes for this video so far.....lets keep it that way. 4:20.

  • nothing wrong with this honorable homage to MD&EM.. fun, wish I were there.

  • im crying! Crowes, god bless u ! love u, fans from brazil

  • And the old is new again, go to Leon Russell and Joe Cocker to see the way it is really done!!

  • Name me a BETTER BAND than THE BLACK CROWES for CLASSIC COVERS?.....Let me save ya time...NONE!!!!! BLESS THE CROWES!!!!

  • @tattedcrowes don't get me wrong but different is not nessecarily better :)

  • This is good, but still like the Cocker/Russell version better.

  • I adore this on Mad Dogs but this one is epic too!!! wahey, what a choice.

  • Why is there a guy wearing an Oilers jersey in the crowd? I thought they were in San Francisco, not Edmonton...

  • Eddie was so much better than Adam on the keys...ya gotta love Marc looking like the 1970s porn star...I guess this was 2005?

  • Great cover! Check out Matthew Moore, songwriter or The Moon Albums for more greats.

  • Da kommt WAI auch ganz fett durch.

  • Nothing against Joe, but I have to say I prefer this version over the original.

  • oh look! there's jesus! :-O

  • @ginapotter25 what's wrong with covers? You don't have to write a song to sing it. Sinatra never wrote a song, but like Joe, he knew a good song when he heard and knew he could do it better. BTW, The Black Crowes were big time fans of Leon Russell and all the Cocker songs from Mad Dogs and Englishmen that the Crowes covered were note for note Leon's arrangements.

  • @judecreek2

    you've got the facts straight,

and Mad dog is an amazing event to, as is Leon's performance on the benefit for bangladesh with Harrison, amazing Jumping jack Flash

    Cheers

  • Wow... amazing!!!

  • If you don't own this DVD stop fucking up and get it

  • @ginapotter25 all the joe songs were covers! haha

  • Comment removed

  • Man!! They nail this! Such feel. Stick them in any pigeon hole you like but to me the Black Crows are one of the best soul bands about.

  • Fells good !

  • No offense to Adam and Luther, but day-um I miss old weird Ed and Marc Ford.

  • @amoricanCrowe I totally agree. All the line ups were amazing but........again i agree. :)

  • @ginapotter25 All Joe's songs are covers...

  • thanks for posting this...

  • I miss Eddie!

  • too good for life

  • best band in the world in 2005..

  • Wonderful. Chris Robinson has gotten better with age. And through Thick and Thin, the Crowes are still Hard to Handle in the best sense of the word !

  • it would have been impossible to duplicate or match the mad dogs version, that concert was full of music legends and was pretty much spur of the moment, nothing will ever come close, i think the crowes did a damn good job all thing considered.

  • @guitplay5 Herbie Hancock came pretty close.

  • Totally agree with everything you said man. Thumbs up.

  • @MattHatter the Ahhh was good i think

  • their bassist can GET IT!

  • VERY cool cover. Chris sings the everloving shit out of this one too.

    5 big stars.

  • Wow! Didn't know they did such great covers of Joe's work. I felt like I was watching and listening to Mad Dogs all over again but with new energy! I'm a long-time fan of Joe so this is an unexpected surprise and very, very cool...

  • Oh yes ... nice cover ... and complete with the Wooo, Ahhs ... love it.

  • Still kickin' ass around the globe. There isn't another band that can touch them live!

  • wonderful cover, very true to the original! BRAVO!

  • Excelente. Daniel, Brazil.

  • Just one example of why they are the best live band on the planet.
