@doc105 Don't hate technology, hate the culture of consumerism and slothfulness this world is enshrouded in for that is what defines this age of greed and dishonor. technology is but a tool to accentuate a said culture. In a ideal world there would be advanced technology but the culture and society would be more traditional or at least radically different. Thats what I thought when I saw this movie, it wasn't so much a clash of technologies as it was more a clash of cultures, ways of life.

I'm pretty sure they are using a Koto, which is a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument. Not sure what else though. May be worth check out Hanz Zimmer's website, assuming he has one.
