No there isn't a slot to put your ps2 or ps1 memory cards in but there is a thing on the game section of the XMB where you can make an internal memory card for your PS1 or PS2 so this basically means the PS3 console makes a memory card and stores it on its harddrive.

there is a place where u can stick ur memorycard in for ps1 and ps2 its in this one slot u just open it in the front of the ps3 and ull c them there and this game is way better than halo 3 no questions asked

there isn't a slot for ps1 and ps2 memorycards in ps3... those slots on the front which you can open are for new memory cards (like from cameras, mp3 players etc) NOT playstation console memory cards... have you even seen it?
