I like that ride too. I live in the south suburbs. A favorite summer nightime ride is north on 90/94, then 55 downtown to Lakeshore Drive, then north all the way up to Evanston or Wilmette, then west over to 90 and south on the highway back through downtown.

It's not legal anywhere. The only reason why it's kinda 'legal' is because law books don't state anything about it. Kinda like California, it's not legal, but it's not illegal because the law books don't say anything about it.

Nice vid even with the phone cam. Just FYI - when folks talk about the "S" curve on LSD, they mean the old curve that used to be just after the river (if going south) - was 2 sharp turns. The straightened it out in the late 80's. The curve by North Ave is nothing compared to what that was. But I gotta agree with driving it at night - used to live on north side and drove down to Hyde Park every night to work midnight to 8....when the moon was out, it was totally awesome. Thanks!
