My Pops used to stay over night there after bringing in trains from Toledo for B&O/C&O/ Chessie System/CSX/Amtrac. All the above.He was also the first conductor on Amtrac Service from Toledo to Detroits MCS Station.Great vid TY

As a Michigan Boy I grew up with Detroit as a destination not a place to be avoided. Ball games at Briggs Stadium later Tiger Stadium, state Democrat Conventions in Cobo Hall while staying in hotels in downtown, shopping at Hudson's.. what a great place it was and that is why I hope the Westin Book Cadillac will spark a true revival of Detroit to it's former grandeur.
