How can the box be the biggest problem? Have you really played the other resident evil games? The box in them are more illogical and the mix between horror and shooter is pretty good. Resident evil 5 is pretty crappy and it have no horror at all.

Also in order to survive, you gotta be aware of the traps. And in order to keep ashley safe, you can stash her in dumpsters and/or make her wait behind. I think the second part of the game, when you got into the village, WAS scary because of the chainsaw dude and the zombies down there trying to throw grenades at you. And, isnt ammo a good thing to get? As for the villagers, they do get scarier. Plagas heads, deceased monks, etc. I like you but i think you didnt make some good points here. :)

I think this game is somewhat scary, because you never know what's around the corner. You open one door and there could be a giant boss or something. Then again, I'm a girl so this game probably seems way scarier to me than it is to some other people. I think RE4 is the best game for the Wii. :)

You need to play the Mercenaries Mode if you want it to be scary. It's not a minigame, it's the best part of the game by far. Same applies to RE5. It's just awesome when you have a high score and you hear the tough enemy approaching, not knowing where he's coming from.

Well, I remember that when I entered the town I went in a house in the left, then you can go to the roof and people will start putting ladders on the house to climb up, you have to kill the people on the roof and then you push the ladders off, then the chainsaw guy comes and you have to kill him, after you kill him you have to kill a few more other villagers and then they go away, you can find more ammo in the houses in the village btw xD

Although I wasn't crazy about the idea of saving the president's daughter, I still loved the story. I do admit its different from the RE we all know and love but that doesn't mean it's bad as an RE game. But you're right, its a good game weather you consider it re or not.

Re4 is more scarier than the other one. Darkside Chronicles had a kinda confusing story but maybe it's just me cuz Re4 was the first RE game I got. But Darkside Chronicles was really good though. Just didn't feel like a true Resident Evil game. So I guess I pick Re4.

it is both a horror themed survival AND shooter. it says that in many trailers and reviews. besides the shooter part of the game is the main reason most people buy it. Also its a FUCKING GAME. if it werent for the stuff lying around, you'd be screwed to the wall. I see in this review that you aren't even close to the better part of this game. The Villagers later become zombies in the end, they turn pale, the skin falls, and their eyes glow yellow. Also, this game IS scary. When something suddenly comes behind me, I jumped off my chair. Overall, this is a fantastic game, and its deffinetly better than the 5th one. RE5 is great, but it doesn't stand along with RE4 its just better. Plus, I think Leon Kennedy is more badass than Chris Redfield.
