Solving poverty from the development you see here is complex. Firstly, can governments through policy create an artificial market in not just feeding the poor, but solving the underlying issue altogether? Secondly, which government should be responsible? The USA? Or the corrupt governments responsible for the problem in the first place? You can't just divert public funds overseas to feed people, because they'll be hungry again tomorrow.
