My daughter suffers from belly pains, has been almost a year, in August she was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Her body attacks protins. Not alot knowen about the desease and there is no cure. Ask doctors to check his eosinophil white blood cell count it affects the esphagus, stomach, and intestines. Good luck

@EventerSarah People say you need food to live. That is not true at all, it's a complete lie if someone tells you that. You just need the nutrients from food. The nutrients are the fuel, the food just is for taste. When they were talking about the backpack and the tube attached to him, that gave him the nutrients and therefore eliminates his need for food. We could all live off of IV bags filled with vitamins and nutrients, but I don't think many people would actually want to do that.

@EventerSarah Well they did mention that they give him nutrients though a tube connected to his stomach someodd hours of each day... Almost like a vitamin c pill. Its not food.. its the nutrients you get from the food.. Therefore he cannot eat solids because prolly something added to all products have like.. fillers.. additives.. I hope you understand what I am trying to say i think im not wording it properly. Buh what I think is that OJ he isnt allergic to.. they should find a way to make food

Allergic to ALL FOOD?!?! So what did he consume as a baby? Did he have breastmilk? Honestly, this is EXTREMELY difficult to believe... and it's actually easier to believe that the MOTHER has some sort of illness, maybe Munchausen by proxy syndrome, which is characterised by (most times) the mother fabricating, exaggerating or inducing symptoms in a young child for attention.

@trinikitty maybe not so....if the kid has a feeding tube then he's surely undergone extensive in hospital tests and observations to come to the conclusion he needs it, therefore ruling out Munchausen as a possibility...at least in my own reasoning....i wonder what is being fed thru the tube....what is it in food that his body responds to?

definitely horrible to think of, almost unimaginable that anyone would actually have to deal with something like this. it's pretty crazy to think about. it's an illness of his body though i do wonder if he tends to, in some respects, be healthier than some children because he only eats and drinks water and has nutrients supplied directly to him.
