@Cardude1992 you contradict yourself because you say they don't have launch control and then in you very next post you say "they have built a proper launch control system in the 2012 gtr..." You answered your own question, YES the 2012 gtr has launch control.

tell me if im wrong but i dont think the pre 2012 models have a launch control at all. thats what gtr chief engineer said.

@cardude1992 Your wrong, because they did. Watch any video on a R35 GT-R, and when they do a 0-60 test, they almost always uses the launch control.

@rclune91494 yeah they do use it but mizuno, the chief engineer of the gtr said that that feature was to get the car out of rough situations for example when its bogged in snow or something like that, he says it wasnt really meant to be used as a launch control on pavement and thats why the transmition couldnt handle it because it was too aggressive for that. he said that they have built a proper launch control system in the 2012 gtr that doesnt damage the tranny and gets even better launch.

@cardude1992 I own a 2011 GTR and am very familiar with GTRs. They ALL had launch control

2009-LC1 (Launch control version 1)

2010-LC2 (many 2009 were reprogrammed to LC2 after several transmission problems)

2011-LC3 (better launch control fully warrantied)

2012-LC4 (more aggressive launch control)

simply put, the gtr is restricted from its power, until you unleash it and weild it in the proper way :) which would be to put some solid downpipes and cats on it!

After speaking with local shops in my area (SP Engineering and Stillen) I've been told a simple down/y-pipe/exhaust and cobb tune can net you anywhere from 100 to 130WHP. That's approximately a 20% increase over stock which I think is evident in this video.

probably not much more as the majority of the differences are in the tune, though there have been some inlet pipe and minor exhaust changes ?midpipe for the 2012.

two of these three changes have been addressed with the 2010 mods you have here
