yu shu is actually not that bad. when XQ starts crying, he's squeezing her cheek trying to do the same as she did, when she was telling him to smile.

you see, he also does'nt want to see XQ this sad & shows her in his own way..

furthermore, his kicking is not that harmful, even less with these kind of shoes :D he's a kid & overreacted, don't think he actually meant to relly hurt her ;)

But the alcohol they drink is quite different, keep that in mind. It looks like the traditional type of Chinese wine used for celebratory occasions. The taste is pretty bitter and strong. But yes, 2 is a bit small. Dramatic purposes for the drama, you know : )

@SweetDreamings Although Yu Shu is indeed rather disrespectful in this scene, but I still think it's a pretty important scene to include. By allowing him to kick and bully her, despite her seniority and her innocence, I think it really underlines her quiet (emotional) maturity, the way she empathizes with his pain and understands his need to lash out to alleviate his inner turmoil. This is one of my fav scenes between the 2. Yu Shu, like his brother, has a very high IQ, but a rather low EQ :D
