Yes, Zacharias's sonatas are also the best, in my mind. He is the most faithfull and the clearest. Noone plays them as lightly as he does. And he conveys just as much emotion as any of the other pianists who play Mozart as if it were Liszt.

Christian Zacharias is simply the best Mozart player. Everyone should hear his 21 concertos (8 CD box set). Totally awesome and mind-blowing performance. He should be twice as famous in the world as he is today... That is to say, fame#good musician. 5*****

I just saw Christian Zacharias as conductor and pianist last night, with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. I thought he was wonderful. He doesn't show alot of emotion with his face, (as you can tell on the jumbotron) but he really uses his body while conducting. Conducting Beethoven from the piano was interesting to see.
