If you can afford it, I highly suggest owning both a PS3 and a 360. Both have very major factors that are worth the money if you do game alot like myself. I've found that I dont worry about what exclusives are going where and not worrying about what I can or can't play. Fanboys just disgust me, the way they will argue to the death for hours about how one system is better than the other. It's all about preference. If people cant realize that, then I don't value their opinion one bit.

I think when people refer to PS3 being easier, they are talking about the community.
PS3 I personally believe is more relaxed and casual, compared to 360. It's free so people don't really care when they play or not, which is more or less different than the 360. This is all situational though, it could be the exact opposite in many different ways.

The difference is that there are MORE hardcore players on the xbox. That isn't to say that there are no good players on the PS3, just that a higher percentage of players on the Xbox know what they're doing.
I have both systems, so I have a decent idea of what I'm talking about. Also, I have stats that support my argument. My K/D is significantly higher on the PS3.

the 360 is not a good system. it is built by apes. i got red ring of death 2 times on my xbox, and got a PS3 in late 2008 and i haven't had a problem yet. and yes Live is 20x better than PSN, but again, PSN is free. i really don't care if xbox has better online, im not paying 60 bucks a year for party chat and a month ahead for CoD DLCs...
xbox 360 controller is better just because of size, i have both consoles and have had mw2 for both consoles but i find ps3 has better registration over the xbox.
PC is a mile better than either cosole, there are so many console fanboys out there who im sure will disagree with me but the fact is pc offers so much more: graphics, using the mouse to shoot, dedicated servers, mods- the list goes on. And finally pc gamers are way better than console gamers, a half good pc gamer would kick a console gamers ass!

360 has better controller, better audio (surround sound for more deph and perception of sounds even though it makes it easier for sound whores) better user interface, better partys. ps3 has better price efficiency cuz of free internet, better features like blu ray etc.,

You do have to look at Value for Money though... Sure, if everyone had thousands of Euros to spend on a gaming pc, PC would have a huge share of the gaming market.... But we do have limited income. So I think value is a factor to be considered when deciding on the best system for you.
@xJoeBagx - You can still get good PCs for $1000, PS3 cost 900? When it first came out I believe. My PC doesnt break a sweat running the new games, even on a year old system. So a $1000 today would be good for 2yrs.
I'm use to 360 controller so I buy all my games for it. Only have uncharted 2 for ps3. I'm glad I have both. To me I use for diff purposes so I wouldn't get rid of either. If I was a kid and parents told me only 1, I would go with 360.

@rippa9 last year i lived in a suite with 7 other guys (now live in an apartment with 3 of them), 3 had xbox 360 and i was the only ps3 player... within 3-4 months all of them had ps3 and 2 of those 3 sold their 360s (the other uses it ONLY for halo) and the kids who didn't have any systems bought the ps3 by the end of the semester... i've played both systems MANY times and have a very good grasp of how the community is on both systems... the ps3 community is hands down.... better..
@rippa9 I know, there are loads of kids on PS3 aswell. My brother and his friends included but what I am saying is that if you go into a lobby on Xbox probably 3/4 are under 15 when on PS3 if is probably less than half. More of a mature audience on PS3 because not all parents are willing to buy their son/daughter (in some cases) a £250 console when they can get a £120 console!
There is more of a challenge on the PS3 as far as COD goes because only the loyal fans stuck to the game. Seeing as COD was a PS2 games, the fans of sony that got the ps3 are going to be better. Also as there is much less ps3 owners as 360 owners it limits the amount of noobs. But we are just talking gameplay here. As far as the pure console goes, menu and party chat, plus games 360 all the way.

the 360 is not a good system. it is built by apes. i got red ring of death 2 times on my xbox, and got a PS3 in late 2008 and i haven't had a problem yet. and yes Live is 20x better than PSN, but again, PSN is free. i really don't care if xbox has better online, im not paying 60 bucks a year for party chat and a month ahead for CoD DLCs...

PC is a mile better than either cosole, there are so many console fanboys out there who im sure will disagree with me but the fact is pc offers so much more: graphics, using the mouse to shoot, dedicated servers, mods- the list goes on. And finally pc gamers are way better than console gamers, a half good pc gamer would kick a console gamers ass!

Actually, I (a PC player) will spend the same amount of money (or less if I put the time in it) as You (a console player) when you cash in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th controller, different addons, broken consoles, pay DLC, expensive games, pay multiplayer... @InfamousGerman the reason using the mouse to shoot is better because its smoother, more direct, and you dont have to keep flicking a analogue stick when your sniping. I have both PC and xbox360 and trust me mouse is better, ask any pc gamer.

@JimJam95XXX It depends on what platform you're on. If I were to play on a PC you'd probably have the advantage... If you were to play on Xbox 360/PS3 you'd probably have a disadvantage. So you can't really say that PC gamers are better than console gamers because the platforming is too different.

xbox as a console is a piece of shit, online support excellent. Ps3 great as a console alot of features, no online support for bad or good reasons, free online, free map packs. Had a xbox got tired of paying and getting ROD never will go back to an xbox.

You do have to look at Value for Money though... Sure, if everyone had thousands of Euros to spend on a gaming pc, PC would have a huge share of the gaming market.... But we do have limited income. So I think value is a factor to be considered when deciding on the best system for you.

I'm use to 360 controller so I buy all my games for it. Only have uncharted 2 for ps3. I'm glad I have both. To me I use for diff purposes so I wouldn't get rid of either. If I was a kid and parents told me only 1, I would go with 360.

i have both consoles, 360 has better functionality but i like the ps3 more as it has a blue ray player and is nice, also xbox has more campers and noobs .. also ps3 is more reliable and doesnt break as much, its a better console by like 1%

@rippa9 last year i lived in a suite with 7 other guys (now live in an apartment with 3 of them), 3 had xbox 360 and i was the only ps3 player... within 3-4 months all of them had ps3 and 2 of those 3 sold their 360s (the other uses it ONLY for halo) and the kids who didn't have any systems bought the ps3 by the end of the semester... i've played both systems MANY times and have a very good grasp of how the community is on both systems... the ps3 community is hands down.... better..

My brother and his friends included but what I am saying is that if you go into a lobby on Xbox probably 3/4 are under 15 when on PS3 if is probably less than half. More of a mature audience on PS3 because not all parents are willing to buy their son/daughter (in some cases) a £250 console when they can get a £120 console!

There is more of a challenge on the PS3 as far as COD goes because only the loyal fans stuck to the game. Seeing as COD was a PS2 games, the fans of sony that got the ps3 are going to be better. Also as there is much less ps3 owners as 360 owners it limits the amount of noobs. But we are just talking gameplay here. As far as the pure console goes, menu and party chat, plus games 360 all the way.
