splitscreen changes depending on the size of your tv. if its 16:9 like most new tvs then its vertical. if its 4:3 like older tvs then its horizontal.

is there a way to do split screen while using two different characters on the same gamer profile, or even a different profile? it seems stupid that when i play split screen, the second player always has to start out as a level one character.

@RetiredJedi04 Yeah, Have them sign in as a profile, then when they make a character, the next time you play, just have them hit "Select Character" and choose theirs on the profile they used to save it

@RaNk323itsmynamegeez The Vert/Horiz Split-Screen is based on the aspect ratio of your TV. If you have a TV with 16:9 or 16:10 Aspect Ratio, you're going to be vertically split. If you have anything under that you'll be horizontally split.

I would recommend it, but the one tiny issue I have is without the DLC it's kinda short, of course you can play through it multiple times, and eventually get max level, but yeah if you're looking for a nice game you can spend months playing this isn't it... Basically I'm saying it's not Fallout 3, but it's still fun as hell.

why shock against skag use corrsive and also i think skag is hardest boss in borderlands WITHOUT DLC destryoer is really easy aim for his eye i soloed him under 3 min and rakk hive is just playin easy i took no damg and killed him in 1 min

HDTV = Vertical Split creen

SDTV = Horizontal Split Screen

if you dont like the way it is splited go to the console options and change your TV to standar definition or high definition whatever you want

lulz, i didn't even know about skagzilla until i got on youtube. i was lvl 50 with 1.2k sheilds and he was lvl 34 on the 1st playthrough i think. i just stood there and shot his face off with my double anarchy (122X4). never even broke my sheild =P

The setting depends on if the xbox is set on a widescreen display or not. Widescreen gets split vertically and 4:3 gets split horizontally. If you really want it split horizontally that bad you have to change the display format on the dashboard, and if you have a widescreen tv this will look like shit.

On a side note, if you have a widescreen tv why would you want it split horizontally since widescreens are wider than they are tall, thus it makes more sense to have it split vertically. Probably why the developers did it that way.

I guess you're right, but I'd like it to be split the same way it is in Halo 3, it cuts a bit off the side of the screen but it doesn't bother me. I'm also just used to having it horizontally split from pretty much all my other multiplayer games.

i got this game for xmas its unbelievable its the kind of game ive wanted for a long time its so funim lvl 22 and i love skagzilla and want to fight him but i also want to fight him in a group of 4 people so i can get a really good elephant gun and have a real challenge oh and btw when fighting skags use corrosive weapons i found an amazing revolver it has a scope (3.6 i think) 148 damage an x3 corrosive damage im the hunter and i love pistols and snipers :D

i got a revolver 398 damage 4x scope and 4 corrosive but only 2 round before reaload, but i have a 290 damage 1.3 fire rate 3.6 scope 4x corrosive and 6 shots

yesterday i got so many weapons i got 5 orange weapons and 6 eridian weapons 2 were copies but im going to give the copies to my friend i bought a revolver with 512 damage and a knife attachment but right now im training my eridian weapon proficiency because i love my eridian weapons

easiest way i found on single player to kill it was to shoot it in the mouth when it just comes out of its cave, then shoot,jump right before it lands when it jumps, run, then repeat. did it when i was level 20.

Yeah, they can level up. It saves each character independently as well.

I would definitely recommend it. Especially if you love shooters. It's more FPS than RPG, so the RPG and tons of weps is just like an added bonus...

The guns are the more RPG element, it's your main "gear".
