Bike chase from Pacific Blue!

Hans Rey and Wayne Crossdale were the two stunt coordinators for the show and both had various parts in them. I believe thats Wayne playing the thief in this episode and he's on a Trek "Y five-0 with Magura brakes (yellow brake levers).

I've met Hans a few times at bike events and he's always cool and down to earth and amazing on two or one wheel that is. :)

As far as I know it was Hans Rey who did the stunts on his GT Zaskar with similar paintscheme!

They are in a pursuit, yet they do not use their lights or siren, give me a break.

@dankohner Ummm... They are on bicycles.. How exactly would there be sirens? I don't recall any bicycle cop anywhere in the world that has sirens like a police car.. A horn maybe, but not sirens. For the lights I understand, this was the first season. They introduced the police bicycle lightings from season 2 onwards which they would turn on when in pursuit..

@imranbecks Obviously, you know nothing about police bikes. Any police bike web site or law enforcement equipment web site has sirens for bikes. Also you can check them out on youtube. Thanks for the upload!

Hahaha... The thought had crossed my mind at times.. I guess they were speeding on the bike and had no idea when the culprit was going to turn, so they slide at the last moment.. I think they were creating that effect..hahaha.. And sliding too much isn't good for the tires.. It will wear out quickly...

i'm pretty sure the bandit is riding a Foes downhill racing bike. for sure it's on Spinergy wheels, expensive build for the time and not made for some of the trials moves he's doing.

Yes I do.. I'm a bike enthusiast.. The show Pacific Blue made me interested in bicycles since I saw it when it first aired and ever since then, cycling has been my hobby..
