@ravenwhitechapel Where in the world did you get that information from? This album sold less than 550,000 copies worldwide, it didn't chart, and it was out of print by 1983. I do, however, think that the album really isn't that bad despite the fact that it is Cher and Gregg Allman.

@luchalloyd Are you sure it sold more than 100,000 copies worldwide? It was a complete flop here in the United States. Didn't even crack the Billboard top 200 best selling album charts and an album only had to sell 10-20 thousand in a week to be at the bottom. The first Allman Brothers album was on the bottom on that chart for three weeks and only sold 30,000 copies. I still have my copy of Two the Hard Way but I rarely play it. I do like some of the songs very much & Cher is good.

@luchalloyd I became a huge Allman Brothers fan in 1970 and we fans were pissed when Gregg got involved with Cher and left Macon and his bandmates for LA and Cher. The ABB did an album in 1975 that is uneven largely due to the fact Gregg did what little he plays and sings on the album from a studio in LA while the rest was recorded in Macon Ga. And this was their follow up to Brothers & Sisters which sold over 1 million and was number 1 for 5 weeks. See how Cher can be distracting!

i remember this song,as a matter of fact i LOOKED for it. goddamn me i still like it. im from georgia,and as a fellow hired gun i met the brothers once. needless to say he was fucked up,liquidated, and just plain drunk. he was way past typical georgia drunk which is pretty bad. he layed into that guitar,and sang his little fershnerkd ass off. a damn good all around guy. cher was very nice and uncomfortable as always down here... thank you for the post

Hey man, they were in LOVE. The album they made together (Two The Hard Way by Allman and Woman) is seriously underrated. I honestly doubt that most folks that comment on how bad it is, have even listened to it! There is more to Gregg than blues and more to Cher than brassy pop. They both sings their fine asses off & sound great together. "Move Me" sounds even more disco on their lp. Side one is uneven, but good. Side two is absolutely KILLER. Check thier duet of IN FOR THE NIGHT! An R & B gem.

Was in Beverly Hills with my family, checking out the stars homes, and Gregg went zipping past Beverly Hills Park and we followed him to Diana's. (he was picking up Cher from an afternoon reception- party for Chaka Kahn, I believe....)
